Product Overview

The Philips PI-50 is an emergency inverter designed for luminaires where the installation of a standard emergency driver is impractical. Its slim form factor (21.90" x 3.58" x 1.32") and simple wiring facilitate easy installation. The PI-50 features sinusoidal output voltage and automatic dimming of luminaires up to 300 W, ensuring exceptional compatibility and flexibility. It works with non-dimmable luminaires up to 50 VA or 0-10V dimmable luminaires up to 300 W to create an emergency lighting system when a standard emergency driver is not suitable.

Dimming Application & Ease of Installation

The PI-50 offers automatic 0-10V dimming control. This patented dimming capability allows a lighting load with up to a 300 W maximum input power to be dimmed to a 50 VA maximum emergency output power. The emergency mode output dimming voltage is automatically controlled by the PI-50 electronic circuitry to maintain up to 50 VA output during AC power loss. During normal operation (AC mains on), the PI-50 passes through the normal room switched AC mains and dimming controls, so the fixture's normal dimming operation is unaffected.

Wiring Schematic

The wiring schematic illustrates the connections for the PI-50 inverter, including inputs for DIM+ IN, DIM- IN, NEUTRAL IN, Unswitched HOT, and Switched HOT IN. Compatible TLEDs

The PI-50 is compatible with all Philips TLED Mains Fit (Type B) lamps, regardless of style and dimming type, provided the total lamp load remains under the inverter's Maximum Output Power rating (non-dimming).

The PI-50 is compatible with many Lightolier 3D Printed luminaires, including the IHB, PM, and BAL Series. It is recommended to check the specific luminaire power rating to confirm compatibility for your application.
