Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite Backlight
Learn how to customize the display and adjust the backlight on the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite.
Backlight: Change brightness
- From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
- Tap Settings > Display.
- If necessary, tap the Adaptive brightness slider to turn off.
- Touch and move the Brightness level slider to the desired setting.
- If desired, tap the Eye comfort shield slider to turn ON. Once enabled, tap Eye comfort shield to adjust these settings.
Backlight: Timeout
- From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
- Tap Settings > Display > Screen timeout.
- Select the desired time setting:
- 15 seconds
- 30 seconds
- 1 minute
- 2 minutes
- 5 minutes
- 10 minutes
- 30 minutes
Widget, Folder, or Shortcut: Add
Widget or Shortcut
- From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
- Swipe right to find the desired app or widget.
- Touch and hold the app or widget, then tap Add to Home.
- Once the app or widget appears on the Home screen, drag it to the desired location.
Folder
- From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
- Swipe right to find the desired app or widget.
- Touch and hold the app, then tap Add to Home or continue to hold the icon until the Home screen appears.
- Slide the app or widget into place and release your finger.
- Repeat the first 3 steps and hover the second app on top of the first app. Release the second app to create a new folder.
- The Folder name screen opens and the option to edit the name and add more apps to the folder is now available.
- Tap +, place checks in the additional apps you want to move and tap Done.
Widget, Folder, or Shortcut: Delete
Widget or Shortcut
- Touch and hold a shortcut or widget to make the Icon menu appear.
- Tap Select, Add to Home or Remove. The options available will vary by widget or shortcut.
Folder
- Navigate to the folder on the applicable Home screen.
- Touch and hold the folder you wish to delete.
- Tap Remove.
Wallpaper
Change the look of the Home and Lock screens by choosing a favorite picture, video, or preloaded wallpaper.
- From the Home screen, touch and hold an empty spot.
- Tap Wallpapers.
- My wallpapers: Choose from featured and downloaded wallpapers.
- Gallery: Choose pictures and videos saved in the Gallery app.
- Wallpaper services: Enable additional features including guide page and Dynamic Lock screen.
- Apply Dark mode to Wallpaper: Enable to apply Dark mode to your wallpaper.
- Tap a picture or video to choose it.
- If choosing a single picture, choose which screen or screens you want to apply the wallpaper too.
- Videos and multiple pictures can only be applied to the Lock screen.
- If choosing videos or pictures from the Gallery, tap on one or more items, and then tap Done.
- Tap Set on Home screen, Set on Lock screen, or Set on Lock and Home screens (depending on which screens are applicable).
