The VOX111 is a motion activated voice annunciator with built in PIR. It can also play a different MP3 message by triggering its alarm input.
Powering
Power the VOX111 from 12V DC (via the input voltage terminals) on the PCB. The current consumption is 350mA maximum. A power supply is not provided.
Triggering
The built-in PIR has a 120º detection angle with a range of up to 4 meters. As the unit is ceiling mounted it is ideally designed to be placed in a ceiling tile near an entranceway to detect customers or other visitors entering a room or area.
In addition to the PIR trigger, the unit has an additional alarm input that can be used to trigger a secondary message.
Volume Control
An infra-red remote control is provided for adjusting the volume.

Mounting
The VOX111 is similar in design to a downlighter. For installation, you will need a recess of at least 108mm in diameter with a headroom of about 120mm.
Recording Custom Messages – Overview
- The VOX111 will only playback audio files that are MP3.
- See the table above for file naming convention.
- Plug the Micro USB socket into a PC to change the MP3 files
