· The HoverMatt PROS (Patient Repositioning Off-Loading System) Sling is breathable and used to assist caregivers with patient positioning (including boosting and turning), vertical lifts, lateral transfers, and proning. By providing pressure relief of bony prominences to aide with Q2 compliance, reducing shear and friction when repositioning, and enhancing microclimate management, the system provides a solution to safely turn and reposition patients while reducing caregiver strain.

loop style hanger bar. · When connecting to loop style hanger bar, ensure strap loop colors
match on the patient’s left and right side. · Once the sling support straps are fully extended, make sure they are
properly connected to the hanger bar before the patient is lifted. · Never lift a patient higher than is necessary to complete the lift/
transfer. · Never leave the patient unattended while using the PROS Sling to lift
the patient. · Use the PROS Sling according to both the lift and PROS Sling
instructions. · If the weight limit differs among the patient lift, hanger bar, and
PROS Sling, then the lowest weight limit applies.

PRECAUTIONS MRI
· The HoverMatt PROS Sling is MR Safe by rationale. The device is made from all non-ferrous materials. As a result, MR safety testing was not performed. Based on rationale, the HoverMatt PROS Sling is electronically non-conductive and non-magnetic.

Instructions for Use PROS Sling*

PLACING PRODUCT UNDER PATIENT LOG ROLLING TECHNIQUE

1. Open the product and place length-wise next to the patient. 2. Unfold the PROS Sling furthest from the patient to the side of the bed. 3. Tuck the other side under the patient as far as possible.

4. Roll the patient onto their side toward the unfolded sling. Unroll the rest of the sling from under the patient to cover the bed.
5. Place the patient back in a supine position. Straighten sling to remove any wrinkles.

5. Wedge Placement with a Ceiling or Portable Lift (Single Caregiver)

3. Slide patient & PROS Sling over to one side of the bed to ensure room for the turn.
4. Place another HoverCover & PROS Sling on top of the patient. Fold mat down to shoulder level to keep face exposed.
5. Roll the two slings together toward the patient to tightly cocoon the patient.
UHAMISHO WA NYUMA
1. Patient should be in a supine position and centered on the PROS Sling.

6. With a firm grasp on the rolled slings, turn the patient onto their side. Caregivers on opposite sides should exchange hand positions (hands on top should switch with hands on bottom).
7. Continue with turn after hand positions are switched. Unroll the slings and remove the top PROS Sling and HoverCover.
8. Position patient per facility protocol. Note: To use as a sling with a ceiling or floor lift, see strap suggestion guide below for attachment to a loop-style hanger bar.
4. Grab the handles under the sling and slide the patient onto the receiving surface.
5. Ensure patient is centered on receiving equipment. 6. Raise the bed/stretcher rails. Note: To use as a sling with a ceiling or floor lift, see strap suggestion guide below for attachment to a loop-style hanger bar.

2. Raise bed rails and attach (see chart for guidance) straps on opposite side of patient turn to loops on same side of hanger bar starting at foot end.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE SEATED TRANSFER FROM BED
1. Position the PROS Sling under the patient using the log-rolling technique. Elevate the head of the bed to prepare for the seated transfer.

BLUE STRAPS

3. Attach the blue sling strap on each shoulder side. Skip the hip sling straps.

BROWN BLUE GREEN

2. Attach the straps at the head of the PROS Sling to the hanger bar. For a fully upright seated position use the green handle. For a reclined seated position use the 1st sling strap (blue) to reduce hip flexion.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE SEATED TRANSFER FROM CHAIR
1. Ensure the PROS Sling is properly placed under the patient prior to attaching strap.

BROWN BLUE GREEN

4. Fold PROS Sling between patient’s legs and place feet on each side of the PROS Sling. Cross one footend sling strap through the other at the lowest loop closest to the device and attach to the hanger bar. Transfer patient.
NOTE: When possible, recline the chair and elevate the footrest. The Velcro link attachments can be utilized to secure the sling to the chair if applicable.
3. Attach the blue sling strap on each shoulder side. Make sure to allow plenty of slack in the hanger bar to attach the foot-end straps without sliding the patient off the chair. Skip the hip sling straps.

4. Fold PROS Sling between patient’s legs and place feet on each side of the PROS Sling. Cross one foot-end sling strap through the other at the lowest loop closest to the device and attach to the hanger bar. Transfer patient.
