RX Mode Application Scenarios
RTS2 is used as a Bluetooth receiver to receive audio playback from Bluetooth hosts such as mobile phones, tablets, and computers. The 3.5mm audio port of RTS2 serves as an audio output port, connecting to speakers, or to the Aux-in port of other playback devices.
Usage of Receiver Mode
Usage of Receiver Mode (RX)
- Confirm the mode switch is pushed to the RX side, and long press power button for 2 seconds to power on RTS2.
- Connect the RTS2’s 3.5mm audio output port to the playback device.
- Follow these steps to pairing.
- Double click MFB button to enter the pairing
- Host side search and found Bluetooth device named RTS2
- Select and connected with RTS2
- Pairing the second devices.
- After the first device has been connected, double-click the MFB button again to enter pairing mode (Device B’s red and blue LED lights flash alternately), search for RTS on the second phone/tablet and connect it, after connected the Device B LED indicator will flash and shows status.
Remark:
- RTS2 can connect two devices in RX mode, but at the same time, only one device’s audio can be played.
TX Mode Application
RTS2 is used as a Bluetooth Transmitter. Its 3.5mm audio port serves as an audio input port, connecting to the 3.5mm audio output port of mobile phones, tablets, computers, televisions, airplanes, treadmills, or gaming consoles. It then transmits audio playback to Bluetooth headphones or speakers paired with the RTS2.
Audio jack configurations on airplanes vary.
For a single 3.5mm jack, first use the audio cable plug directly;
For a dual output jack, use the included adapter.
Usage of Transmitter Mode
Usage of Transmitter Mode (TX)
- Confirm the mode switch is pushed to the TX side, and long press power button for 2 seconds to power on RTS2.
- Connect the RTS2’s 3.5mm audio connector to the audio source device’s output port.
- Follow these steps to pairing:
- Put the Bluetooth earbuds to be used by entering pairing mode.
- Double click MFB button to enter pairing mode.
- Wait for a moment for them to automatically paired successfully.
- Pairing the second devices.
- After the first device has been connected, double-click the MFB button again to enter pairing mode (Device B’s red and blue LED lights flash alternately), also set the second device to enter pairing mode, then RTS2 will search and pairing with it automatically, after connected the Device B LED indicator will flash and shows status.
- Put the Bluetooth earbuds to be used by entering pairing mode.
Remark:
- When paired with two devices in TX mode, the audio encoding format will automatically adapt to the lower format of the two devices.
- e.g: A is BOSE earphones that support APTX/SBC, B is Airpods that support AAC/SBC, the TX format will adapt to the common SBC format.
- When paired with the second device in TX mode, there will be a short interruption of the audio playback before resuming the normal process, which is a normal phenomenon of automatically adapting to the second device’s encoding format.
- When paired with two devices in TX mode, one device moves beyond a distance of 10 meters, it will disconnect from the RTS2, causing a short interruption in audio playback on the other device, this is designed to adapt to the optimal audio decoding format.
Charging Method
With a USB-C cable (attached with the package) to connect the adapter to USB port of your PC or charging source, the adapter will be charged. It takes about 1.5hours for full charging. When charging, the battery level LED is flash, and all LEDs permanently on at full charged.
Remarks:
- RTS supports using when charging, so there is no need to worry about battery life.
- RX mode is automatically power on when charging port insert, convenient for use as a receiver in cars (turn on follow car start).
- When the battery runs out, it will automatically shut down, and requires charging to start up and work again.
Specification
- Battery Life: 20 Hours+ (depending on the actual volume and the sound source)
- Charging time: 1.5 Hours
- Effective range: 10 meters (33 feet)
