INSTALLATION
General
Summa GoData is a software tool that gathers data from your workflow. Once GoProduce is connected, GoData starts collecting information on outputting a job from GoProduce. Consequently, all job information from each GoProduce connected to a machine is stored, allowing you to analyse this data and reduce machine downtime.
NOTE: Connecting your GoProduce to GoData is protected with a license code.
NOTE: We recommend installing GoData on a computer that can be accessed from your production floor. This way, connecting GoProduce to GoData through HTTP or HTTPS should be an easy process.
Specifications
To define the PC specifications for the installation, consider the following requirements and recommendations:
- Windows 10 (Professional – Enterprise)/11 (Professional – Enterprise) 64-bit, with the latest updates and Service Pack.
- It must have a network connection, at least to the internal network.
- At least 5 GB of free disk space is needed.
Additionally, please ensure the following:
- Allow port 8009 if the PC has a configured firewall.
- Enable ping requests on the GoData PC, as GoProduce sends a ping request for verification.
Installation
- Double-click the installation program to start the setup. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation.
- If the following screen appears, it can take some time to finish, especially on a clean install. The program has some dependencies on the IIS from Microsoft and may need to download and install some features.

- The following screen appears when the installation is finished. Also, a web browser window should be opened showing the dashboard on http://localhost:8009/.

- Start the activation and configuration procedure in GoProduce if you have the required license.
Microsoft IIS
NOTE: The program has some dependencies on the IIS from Microsoft. We briefly inform about some basics on Microsoft IIS but refer to the documentation of Microsoft to check it more in depth.
IIS Manager
- Click Windows start and search for iss.

- When you expand the tree view of your PC, you should see SummaGoDataPublish.

- On the right side you can manage or check the status of the GoData website.

- NET Extensibility 4.8: Allows integration of .NET applications with IIS, supporting ASP.NET and other .NET applications.

- CGI (Common Gateway Interface): Enables execution of external programs (scripts) on the web server. It’s commonly used for dynamic content generation, such as running Perl or Python scripts.
- ISAPI Extensions: Enables support for ISAPI (Internet Server Application Programming Interface) extensions.
- ISAPI Filters: Intercept and process HTTP requests before they reach the application or extension.
- Server-side Includes: Allows you to include dynamic content within HTML pages.
Common HTTP Features
- Default Document: Specifies default documents to serve when a user accesses a directory without specifying a specific file.
- Directory Browsing: Allows users to view the contents of a directory when no default document is present. It generates a directory listing.
- HTTP Errors: This feature handles HTTP error responses (e.g., 404 Not Found, 500 Internal Server Error). It allows you to customize error pages or redirect users to specific URLs when errors occur.
- Static Content: Enables serving static files (e.g., HTML, CSS, images) directly from the web server without any processing.

- HTTP Logging: Logs HTTP requests and responses for troubleshooting and analysis.
Performance Features
- Static Content Compression: Enables static content compression to improve performance by reducing data transfer size.
Security
- Request Filtering: Provides request filtering capabilities, allowing you to block specific requests based on rules.

BASIC DASHBOARD
Home page
The home page of the basic dashboard of Summa GoData features a menu on the left side and detailed information on the right. To highlight its capabilities, we’ve included a machine status summary that can be selected by serial number, a job timeline and an overview on material usage.
Job summary
The job summary page shows a comprehensive list of all jobs that have run, both completed and cancelled.
Remove entries
On the remove entries page, you can delete all jobs from the database linked to a specific device serial number.

The API document describes how to interact with GoData.
Dashboard settings
On the dashboard settings page, you can customize the look and feel of the home page.
