Pre-installation guidelines
Please read this manual carefully before using the product.
- All connections must be made with the product turned OFF.
- It is mandatory to install a fuse between the product and the battery for protection in case of overload. The fuse must be compatible with the product’s power consumption and installed as close to the battery as possible.
- Use the recommended wire gauges specified in this manual to prevent overheating and to ensure maximum performance.
- Keep the cables as short as possible to enhance sound quality and avoid potential power loss.
- Distribute the installation cables as far away as possible from the vehicle’s original wiring to prevent interference and noise in your audio system.
- Install the product in a stable, well-ventilated, and dry location.
- A qualified professional should perform the installation.

Processor’s audio Connections
INPUT (RCA): RCA connection, common in audio devices. This connection is a STEREO input (L+R), marked on the product. Connect it to the radio/player using high-quality shielded RCA cables to avoid unwanted noise.
HIGH IN (WIRE): Wire connection, typically used with factory-installed radios/players that do not have dedicated RCA outputs. This input is also a STEREO signal (L+R), marked on the product.
The RCA and HIGH IN input connections share the same output channels. Using both inputs simultaneously may cause unwanted audio noise.
OUTPUT CONNECTION: RCA output (L+R) with processed audio.
Power and control connections
POSITIVE CONNECTOR: Connect to the positive terminal of the battery using a wire with a minimum gauge of 20 AWG. If using the vehicle’s battery, install a 1A fuse (placed no more than 12 inches from the battery) to protect the electrical system.
NEGATIVE/GROUND CONNECTOR: Connect to the negative terminal of the battery using a wire with a minimum gauge of 20 AWG.
REM REMOTE CONTROL CONNECTION (REM): This connection automatically activates the product when powered. Connect it to the remote output of the radio/player using a wire with a minimum gauge of 20 AWG. For manual activation, use an on/off switch connected to a 12V power source.
CONTROL CONNECTION: This connection is dedicated to the use of the external TREMOR CONTROL. Install it on the vehicle’s dashboard or in an easily accessible location, using the 16-foot RJ11 cable provided with the product.
Audio adjustment controls
The processor has dedicated controls for fine-tuning of frequencies:
- WIDE: Adjusts the range of frequency processing. The frequency range can be adjusted from 30Hz to 250Hz.
- SWEEP: Selects the center of the frequency range for processing. The selected frequency will be emphasized, with less impact on nearby frequencies, as configured by the WIDE adjustment. The frequency can be adjusted from 27Hz to 63Hz.
USING THE TREMOR CONTROL
The processor comes with an external control that allows for quick signal level adjustments. The control features tabs for mounting and an LED indicator that lights up when connected and the processor is ON.
TREMOR operation
The TREMOR’s audio processing enhances low frequencies that may have been filtered or reduced during recording, mixing, or for users who wish to add more bass to their music.
The bass enhancement process uses advanced audio processing technology to analyze higher frequencies in the music and convert them into lower frequencies. These new frequencies are then integrated into the original music, adding depth and presence to the original bass.
Configuration modes
The processor has various operating modes, set by JUMPERS.
- ANY CHANGES BETWEEN CONFIGURATION MODES SHOULD BE MADE ONLY WITH THE PRODUCT TURNED OFF.
- CHANGING SETTINGS IS RECOMMENDED ONLY IF YOU NOTICE AUDIO NOISE ISSUES.
ACCESSING CONFIGURATION MODES
To access the modes, remove the screws located on the sides of the processor (two screws on each side) using a TORX T10 screwdriver.
Adjusting Settings with JUMPERS
After removing the top cover of the processor, locate the configuration modules. Each module contains a JUMPER that acts as a selector switch for the different modes. Changing the position of the JUMPERS will modify the processor settings, as described in the following pages.
FACTORY DEFAULT SETTINGS:
- RCA INPUT: RESISTIVE
- GROUNDING: RESISTIVE
- VOLTAGE LEVEL: 5V
- LED: PULSING
Installation diagram
Use the following sizing requirements for the installation:
- Powe cables (Positive and Negative) ……………………………………………………………. 20 AWG
- Remote trigger cable (REM) …………………………………………………………………………. 20 AWG
- Protection fuse ………………………………………………………………………………………………. 1A
Installation must be performed only by qualified professionals and with the product turned OFF.
The use of a fuse is mandatory to protect the system from short circuits and overloads.
Install the fuse no more than 12 inches from the battery.
Troubleshooting
If the product is not functioning correctly or showing unusual behavior, these tips may help diagnose and resolve the issue:
PRODUCT DOES NOT TURN ON:
- Check if the cables are connected properly and ensure all connections have electrical and mechanical contact.
- The fuses may be defective or blown. Check the condition of the fuses and ensure they match the recommended rating for the equipment.
- Verify that the battery connections are powered and that the charge is sufficient for the product’s operation.
NO SOUND:
- Speaker cables or audio connections may not be connected properly or could be defective.
- Check the radio to ensure the volume LEVEL is not set to minimum or the MUTE option is not activated.
AUDIO DISTORTION:
Speakers may be overloaded or defective. Check if the equalization settings are appropriate.
NOISE OR AUDIO FAULTS:
- Ensure the installation is not close to the vehicle’s original wiring, as this can cause interference and noise in the audio signal.
- Use a separate power connection for the sound system. Always use a fuse as close as possible to the battery for protection.
