Product Usage Instructions

Installation

  1. Connect the Power Adapter from an AC outlet to the DC 20V Port
    on the dock.
  2. Connect USB-A peripheral devices using USB-A cables to the
    USB-A Data Ports or USB-A Data/Charge Port on the Dock.
  3. Connect USB-C peripheral devices using USB-C cables to the
    USB-C Data Port or USB-C Data/Charge Port on the Dock.
  4. For a wired network connection, use an RJ-45 terminated network
    cable (CAT 5e or better) to connect to the 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet
    Port on the Dock.
  5. To connect a display using Video Ports (1-3), use the
    respective cable from the port to the display device. Note that
    only a single display can be connected to each Video output.
  6. Connect the included USB4 Host Cable from a DP Alt Mode Enabled
    USB4 Port on the Host Computer to the USB4 Host Port on the Dock
    for automatic detection and installation.

Q: How do I ensure optimal network performance and
stability?

A: While Windows provides a basic Realtek
RTL8156x driver for network functionality, it is recommended to
manually download and install the latest driver from the product

www.StarTech.com/150UE-USB4DOCKTRIPLE for better network
performance.

Q: Can I connect multiple displays to each Video output?

A: No, only a single display can be connected

Requirements
· Computer · USB4 Port · This Dock can function with either a USB4 or USB-C host port. For maximum performance a USB4 port is recommended. Video support and performance, such as resolution, and refresh rate depend on the host computer. MST support is required to support multiple displays. Please verify the specifications of the host computer. Some operating systems such as macOS or some version of Linux may not support MST and will be limited to one display.

Installation
1. Connect the Power Adapter from an AC outlet, to the DC 20V Port on the dock.
2. When connecting USB-A peripheral devices, connect a USB-A cable from the USB peripheral devices to the USB-A Data Ports and/or the USB-A Data/Charge Port on the Dock.
3. When connecting USB-C peripheral devices, connect a USB-C cable from the USB peripheral devices to the USB-C Data Port and/or the USB-C Data/Charge Port on the Dock.

4. When connecting a wired network, connect an RJ-45 terminated network cable (CAT 5e or better) from the local area network (e.g. Router, Switch, Modem, etc.) to the 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet Port on the Dock (CAT 6 or better recommended for 2.5Gb speeds).
5. Video 1 To connect a display using the DisplayPort or HDMI Video Port, connect the respective cable from the respective port to the display device.
Note: Only a single display can be connected to either of the Video 1 output.
6. Video 2 To connect a display using the DisplayPort or HDMI Video Port, connect the respective cable from the respective port to the display device.
Note: Only a single display can be connected to either of the Video 2 output.
7. Video 3 To connect a display using the DisplayPort or HDMI Video Port, connect the respective cable from the respective port to the display device.
Note: Only a single display can be connected to either of the Video 3 output.
8. Connect the included USB4 Host Cable from a DP Alt Mode Enabled USB4 Port on the Host Computer, to the USB4 Host Port on the Dock. The Host Computer will automatically detect and install the Dock.
Note: Realtek Network Driver on Windows
While the default Realtek RTL8156x driver provided by Windows offers basic functionality, we strongly recommend manually downloading and installing the latest driver from the product Downloads page to ensure optimal network performance and stability.
