- Refer to the manufacturer of the Server Rack to determine the mounting hole type and size
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Cage nut tool (Optional)
- Measuring tape (Optional)
WARNINGS!
- Read the entire Quick-Start Guide and ensure the instructions are fully understood before using this product.
- Never operate this product if parts are missing or damaged.
- All four mounting points must be properly secured to each of the posts on a four-post Server Rack.
- Never exceed the maximum mounting depth specification for this shelf: 34.4 (873.5mm).
- Before adding equipment to this product, ensure it has been properly mounted.
- Ensure the weight of the equipment does not exceed the weight capacity of this product.
If the weight capacity is exceeded, personal injury or damage to the equipment is possible. This product can support the following stationary weight: 150lb (68kg)
Installation
- Determine a suitable location on the Rack to mount the Adjustable Rack Shelf. The Sliding Shelf requires 1U of Mounting Space.
- Determine the Internal Depth of the Server Rack. This measurement will determine the Mounting Depth.
- Install the M5 Cage Nuts into the Mounting Holes located at the chosen U Height, determined in
Step 1. on the Front and Rear Mounting Posts of the Server Rack. If available, use a Cage Nut Tool or a preferred installation method to install the Cage Nuts.
Note: If the Server Rack has M5 threaded holes, skip this step. The M5 Screws can be installed without the M5 Cage Nuts.
Use the manufacturer-recommended Screws for the Server Rack if they differ from M5. - Slots along the Rear Mounting Brackets enable the user to vary the Mounting Depth of the Adjustable Rack Shelf.
- Position the Rear Mounting Brackets at the determined Mounting Depth from
Step 2. Insert the Screws (x 2 per side) through the Rear Mounting Brackets and into the Threaded Holes on the sides of the Adjustable Rack Shelf. Use a Phillips Head Screwdriver to tighten the Screws (x 4). - Position the Adjustable Rack Shelf onto the Server Rack at the chosen U Height, determined in Step 1, with the Front Mounting Brackets facing the user. Ensure the Holes (x 4) on the Front Mounting Brackets are Aligned with the Mounting Holes on the Front Posts of the Server Rack.
Note: Two people are recommended to accomplish Steps 6 through 8. - Insert the M5 Screws (x 4) through the Front Mounting Brackets and into the M5 Cage Nuts (x 4). Tighten the M5 Screws (x 4) using a Phillips Head Screwdriver.
- Repeat Step 7 to secure the Rear Mounting Brackets.
Note: Ensure the Adjustable Rack Shelf is secure before placing Server Rack Equipment.
