FOR FUTURE REFERENCE
POLARIZED PLUG: This appliance is equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to defeat this feature or modify the plug in any way. If the plug fits loosely into the AC outlet or if the AC outlet feels warm, DO NOT use that outlet.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
AN EXTENSION CORD MAY BE USED IF CARE IS EXERCISED IN THEIR USE:
- Minimize the risk of overheating by using the shortest UL or ETL listed cord possible.
- The marked electrical rating must be at least as great as that of the product.
- Never use a single extension cord to operate more than one appliance.
- Arrange the longer cord so that it will not drape over a countertop or tabletop where it can be tripped over, snagged, or pulled on unintentionally (especially by children).

BEFORE INITIAL USE
- Remove all parts & accessories. Dispose of packaging.
- Wipe the cooking plates with a damp sponge or cloth.
WARNING: DO NOT run water directly onto the cooking surface. DO NOT immerse the appliance or power cord in water or any other liquids or place in the dishwasher. - Dry thoroughly.
- Wipe the cover with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
- Lightly grease the baking surfaces before the unit is used for the first time. Use the appliance for about 10 minutes with the cover closed. Then wipe it down with a damp cloth.
DO NOT eat the first mini waffles you make with the Mini Waffle Maker.
HOW TO USE
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE
WARNING: DO NOT touch hot surfaces. Always use the handle of the product. Use protective oven mitts or gloves to avoid burns or serious personal injuries.
NOTE: Never use metal utensils such as forks, knives with this product to avoid scratches on the non-stick surface. Only use plastic, rubber, wooden, or silicone cooking utensils
- Place the product on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Plug the power cord into a standard 120-volt AC electrical outlet. INDICATOR light (RED) will illuminate, indicating the product is heating.
- The INDICATOR light (RED) will turn OFF, indicating the appliance is ready for cooking. NOTE: The INDICATOR light (RED) cycles on and off indicating the unit is preheating.
- Open the cover and pour approximately ¼ cup (60 ml) waffle batter onto the bottom plate and close the cover. For best results, pour batter in a circle around the outer edge. NOTE: Batter will expand rapidly inside the appliance. DO NOT over-fill as the batter will seep out over the edge.
NOTE: DO NOT open the cover while steam is escaping. Cooking time may vary depending on the type of batter used and the desired level of browning. - When steam has stopped escaping, it is an indication that the mini waffle is cooked.
You may cook for a longer period of time to achieve the desired crispiness.
When mini waffle is done use silicone utensils to remove from the grids.
NOTE: The INDICATOR light (RED) may cycle on and off during cooking. This is normal and it indicates that the thermostat is maintaining the unit at the proper cooking temperature. - Close the cover and wait for INDICATOR light (RED) to turn OFF again before preparing another batch of mini waffles.
- Unplug appliance from electrical outlet after cooking is done. Allow it to cool down before cleaning.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
WARNING: Ensure the appliance is unplugged from the electrical outlet and allow it to completely cool down before handling or cleaning.
WARNING: DO NOT pour cold water on the product, as the sudden temperature change may damage the product or create a burn hazard.
- Wipe the cooking plates with a damp sponge or cloth.
WARNING: DO NOT run water directly onto the cooking surface. DO NOT immerse the appliance or power cord in water or any other liquids or place in the dishwasher. - Wipe the cover and the outside surface with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
NOTE: DO NOT use bleach or abrasive cleansers/scouring pads to clean the plates, as it may damage the non-stick finish and/or exterior surfaces. - Close the cover and store the unit.
RECOMMENDATIONS
- DO NOT overmix waffle batter.
- Don’t open the cover while steam is escaping from the appliance. This is an indication that the waffle is not thoroughly cooked.
- Always preheat the appliance before cooking.
- Close the cover and let the appliance heat before cooking another batch of mini waffles.
- Make sure the INDICATOR light (RED) is OFF before pouring batter on the plate.
WARRANTY
1-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY.
This warranty covers any defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of the original purchase. Please retain your original receipt as a proof of the purchase date. Any complaints must be registered within the warranty period. The product will be repaired, replaced (parts or entire appliance) or refunded at our sole discretion. Shipping charges may apply.
This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the following:
- Negligent use or misuse of the product including failure to clean the product regularly, use for commercial purposes, accident, use on improper voltage or current, use contrary to the operating instructions, disassembly, repair or altercation by anyone other than a STARFRIT authorized service agent.
- Stains, discoloration and minor scratches on the inside and outside of the utensil constitute normal use, do not affect performance, and are not covered by this warranty.
Decisions as to the cause of damage are the responsibility of STARFRIT. All decisions will be final.
RECIPES
CHOCOLATE CHIP WAFFLES
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup (250 ml) flour
- ½ tsp (2.5 ml) baking powder
- ¼ tsp (1.25 ml) salt
- ¼ cup (60 ml) brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- ¼ cup (60 ml) oil
- 1 cup (250 ml) buttermilk
- 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract
- ½ cup (125 ml) chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and set aside.
- In another mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and brown sugar for about 2-3 minutes.
- Add vanilla extract and incorporate oil gradually.
- Using a spatula, add the dry ingredients to the mixture. Alternate with buttermilk.
- Add the chocolate chips and let the batter rest for about 8-10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, preheat the Waffle Maker.
- Pour enough waffle batter (about ¼ cup or 60 ml) onto the bottom plate to cover the cavities and close the cover.
- Repeat with the remaining batter.
BLUEBERRY WAFFLES
INGREDIENTS:
