  2. 2. Press the correct buttons in the proper order for your EXISTING combination.
  3. On the back end of the lock, there is a spring-loaded cylinder plate (at the opposite end from the bolt assembly). With a pencil eraser, pen or other solid object, push the slide into the lock as far as it will go. (In Models SM and RM, this slide is completely exposed.)
  4. Turn the knob full LEFT (counter-clockwise) to “clear out” the existing combination.
  5. Press the buttons firmly and deliberately in the desired sequence for your new combination. Turn the knob to the RIGHT (clockwise) to set your new combination into the mechanism. Turn the knob full LEFT to activate the lock.

At some time, you may wish to keep your cabinet unlocked, with the knob always free to open or close the lock.

Follow the combination change procedure but SKIP STEP #5. Should any buttons be pressed when the cabinet is in this condition, merely turn knob LEFT (counter-clockwise) and then to the RIGHT to continually open and close the lock. To put a combination back in, follow the combination change procedure, but SKIP STEP #2.
