Before first use, or when refilling, follow these steps:
- Unscrew the top nut (or finial) counter-clockwise and remove the top part of the grinder.
- Carefully lift off the top section of the wood body to expose the grinding mechanism and the reservoir.
- Fill the reservoir with whole peppercorns (for pepper grinders) or dry salt crystals (for salt grinders). Важно: Do not use wet salt in salt grinders, as this can damage the mechanism.
- Replace the top section of the wood body, ensuring it is properly aligned.
- Screw the top nut (or finial) back on clockwise until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.

Adjusting Grind Size (U-Select System)
The Peugeot U-Select system allows for precise adjustment of grind coarseness. To adjust:
- Locate the ring at the base of the grinder.
- Turn the ring to select one of the 6 predefined grind settings.
- Turn clockwise for a finer grind.
- Turn counter-clockwise for a coarser grind.
- The markings on the base indicate the different settings, allowing you to easily return to your preferred coarseness.
Grinding Salt/Pepper
Once filled and the grind size is set, simply twist the top part of the grinder clockwise to begin grinding your salt or pepper.

To maintain the appearance and functionality of your Peugeot grinder:
- Wipe the exterior of the wood body with a soft, dry cloth.
