Product Usage Instructions:
1. Preparation:
Ensure front wheels are securely blocked. Raise the rear of the
truck to a suitable height and support the chassis, leaving the
differential slightly supported with a jack placed under the rear
axle.
2. Removal of Stock Rear Sway Bar End Links:
Loosen and remove the bolts securing the stock rear sway bar end
links and take them out.
3. Measurement:
With the rear sway bar parallel to the ground, measure the
distance from the center of the upper rear sway bar end link
mounting hole on the frame down to the center of the rear end link
mounting hole on the sway bar. Record this measurement.
4. Adjusting Spohn Rear Sway Bar End Links:
Adjust the length of the Spohn rear sway bar end links to match
the recorded measurement. Loosen the jam nuts and turn the adjuster
clockwise or counter-clockwise to lengthen or shorten the end
link.
5. Installation:
Install the Spohn adjustable rear end links using the provided
mounting hardware. Do not reuse factory hardware. Hand tighten nuts
initially. Tighten mounting bolts to 90 ft/lbs once the length is
adjusted. Apply REMOVABLE strength (Blue) Loctite to jam nuts to
prevent loosening over time.
FAQ:
Q: Can I make the end links longer than 16.25 c-c?
A: It is not recommended to exceed 16.25 c-c length for proper
thread engagement on the adjuster. Contact us for longer end links
or use upper end link mount drop brackets if needed.

INSTRUCTIONS
Fitment Note: The factory rear sway bar end links are 11.25″ c-c. These rear end links are 14.00″ c-c fully compressed which is the length required with a 2″ lift. The maximum c-c length of these end links is 16.25″ c-c. Do NOT make them any longer as you will not have enough thread engagement on the adjuster. If you need the length to be >16.25″ c-c you should use upper end link mount drop brackets (supplied with most lift kits) or contact us to get longer end links built.
1. With the front wheels securely blocked, raise the rear of the truck to an adequate working height, then support the chassis securely leaving the differential slightly supported with the jack. Place the jack under the rear axle to support but do not lift.
2. Loosen and remove the bolts securing the stock rear sway bar end links and remove them.
3. Safely lower the truck back to the ground suspension loaded (ride height). Make sure the rear sway bar does not contact anything.
4. With the rear sway bar rotated perfectly horizontal (parallel to the ground), measure the distance from the center of the upper rear sway bar end link mounting hole on the frame down to the center of the rear end link mounting hole in the rear sway bar. Record this measurement.
5. With the front wheels securely blocked, raise the rear of the truck to an adequate working height, then support the chassis securely leaving the differential slightly supported with the jack. Place the jack under the rear axle to support but do not lift.
6. Adjust the length of the Spohn rear sway bar end links to match the length that you recorded in Step 4. One end of the end link adjuster is left hand threaded and the other end is right hand threaded. To adjust the length of your end link simply loosen the jam nuts and put a wrench on the hex in the center of the adjuster and turn the adjuster clockwise or counter-clockwise while holding both ends of the end link to lengthen or shorten the end link.
7. Install the Spohn adjustable rear end links using the supplied mounting hardware. Do not re-use the factory mounting hardware as the bolts are not long enough. The large diameter fender washers go on the outside of the bushing. Make the nuts hand tight only at this time. See Image 1 below.
8. Safely lower the truck back down to the ground suspension loaded (ride height). Roll the truck front and back and bounce the rear suspension up and down a few times.
9. When you have your rear sway bar end link length properly adjusted, tighten the mounting bolts to 90 ft/lbs. Then tighten the jam nuts on both ends of the adjuster. Note: Jam nuts are known to work loose over time. To prevent this we recommend that after you have the end link set to your desired length you apply some REMOVABLE strength (Blue) Loctite to the threads and then tighten up the jam nuts on each end of the adjuster.
10. The polyurethane bushings come pre-lubed. DO NOT use petroleum-based grease on your poly bushings! Poly bushings must be lubricated with synthetic silicone based waterproof grease. These are the manufacturer’s recommendations to prevent pre-mature bushing wear, and will keep things “squeakfree”. You can order this grease from Spohn Performance using our Part# 902. Do not over grease the bushings! You only need a couple pumps of grease. Over greasing will cause the bushings to balloon from the hydraulic pressure inside of the sleeve and they will fail.
