SONOFF BASIC-ZB1GSP Zigbee Smart Switch

Overview

The SONOFF Basic DIN Rail is a Zigbee Smart Switch for reliable home automation. During first power-up it enters pairing mode automatically, and you can pair it in the eWeLink app using the device QR code or a manual pairing option through your Zigbee gateway.

Quick Setup and Use

1. Power off electricity at the source before installation.
2. Install the device securely inside the distribution board/electrical box on the DIN rail.
3. Wire the device using the recommended wiring diameter (11AWG to 6AWG / 4mm² to 10mm²), ensuring N (Neutral) and L (Line) are connected correctly.
4. Turn power back on. On first use, the device enters pairing mode and the LED signal flashes slowly.
5. Open the eWeLink app and ensure your primary SONOFF Zigbee gateway is set up in your eWeLink account.
6. Add the device: scan the QR code on the device and follow the on-screen instructions.
7. If the configuration page doesn’t appear after scanning the QR code, open your Zigbee gateway inside the eWeLink app and use Add to search for and pair the device manually.

Power Off

Ensure the electricity is switched off at the source before starting the installation.

WARNING

• Please have the device installed and maintained by a professional electrician. To avoid electric shock hazards, do not operate any connection or contact the terminal connector while the device is powered on!
• For single-phase use only (100–240V~). Connecting to multiple phases may result in damage to the device.
• To ensure the safety of your electrical installation, it is essential that either a Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) or a Residual Current operated Circuit-breaker with integral Overcurrent protection (RCBO) with an electrical rating of 32A is installed upstream of the BASIC-ZB1GSP.

Install the device in the distribution board

Install the device securely inside your distribution board / electrical box on the DIN rail.

Wiring Instructions

Recommended Wiring Diameter: 11AWG to 6AWG (4mm² to 10mm²)

Important Safety Measures

• Do not reverse the N (Neutral) and L (Line) port connections to avoid damaging the device and creating a hazard.
• Make sure all wires are connected correctly.

Power On

Turn the power back on. After powering on, the device will automatically enter pairing mode during its first use, and the LED signal indicator will flash slowly.

Pairing Mode Timeout & Manual Reset

The device will exit Pairing Mode if it is not paired within 3 minutes. If you need to re-enter pairing mode, long-press the physical button on the device for 5 seconds until the signal indicator flashes slowly, then release.

Download the eWeLink App

Search for and download the eWeLink App from your mobile device’s app store.

Add SONOFF Zigbee Gateway

Ensure your primary SONOFF Zigbee gateway is set up and configured within your eWeLink account before adding the smart switch.

Add Device

Open the eWeLink App and scan the QR code located on the device, then follow the on-screen instructions to proceed.

Alternative Pairing Method

If the configuration page does not display after scanning the QR code, open your Zigbee gateway within the eWeLink app, and tap “Add” to search for and pair the device manually.

Troubleshooting

• Device does not stay in pairing mode: Pairing mode exits if the device is not paired within 3 minutes. To re-enter pairing mode, long-press the physical button for 5 seconds until the signal indicator flashes slowly, then release.
• QR scan doesn’t show the configuration page: In the eWeLink app, open your Zigbee gateway and tap Add to search for and pair the device manually.
• Potential wiring issue: If the device may be miswired, do not reverse N (Neutral) and L (Line) connections. Ensure all wires are connected correctly. (Have a professional electrician handle installation/maintenance and only work when power is off.)
