Sonava Acoustic Panel

Overview

Plan panel placement, ensure a suitable, dry, and clean substrate, select and apply Pattex Montage All Materials adhesive in continuous vertical strands, then position and firmly press or roll the panels into place.

Quick Setup & Use

1. Plan and determine the position of each panel on the wall surface; cut panels to size if necessary.
2. Prepare the substrate: it must be dry, stable, clean (free of separating substances), and sufficiently even.
3. Prepare the adhesive: cut the cartridge above the thread; cut the tip to approx. 8 mm diameter and screw it on; insert the cartridge into a suitable cartridge gun.
4. Apply adhesive vertically in continuous strands on the panel back/felt side, starting approx. 1 cm from the right and left edges; divide repeatedly until there is approx. 8 cm spacing between lines.
5. Place each panel immediately in the planned position and adjust slightly if needed.
6. Once in final position, press the panel firmly or roll it with a foam rubber roller.

PLANNING AND PREPARATION

• Before starting to glue the panels, the position of each individual panel on the wall surface must be planned and determined. Cut the panels to size if necessary.

SUBSTRATE

• The surface to be bonded must be dry, stable, clean (free of separating substances) and sufficiently even.

ADHESIVE SELECTION

• We recommend using Pattex Montage All Materials from a cartridge for clean and precise adhesive application.
• This adhesive bonds the acoustic panels to almost all common construction substrates.
• It offers good repositionability at the beginning, secure initial adhesion during application, and perfect final strength after installation.

CONSUMPTION

• Approx. 300 g/m² (≈ 1 cartridge)

APPLICATION

• Cut the cartridge above the thread.
• Cut the tip of the cartridge to a diameter of approx. 8 mm and screw it on.
• Insert the cartridge into a suitable cartridge gun.

ADHESIVE APPLICATION

• Apply the adhesive vertically in continuous strands on the back/felt side of the panels, starting approx. 1 cm from the right and left edges.
• Then divide the surface repeatedly into additional strands until a spacing of approx. 8 cm between the individual lines is achieved.
• Immediately after applying the adhesive, place the panel in the final position, press the panel firmly or roll it with a foam rubber roller.

• Panels will not adhere reliably: Verify the substrate is dry, stable, clean (free of separating substances), and sufficiently even before bonding.
• Adhesive application is uneven or imprecise: Use Pattex Montage All Materials from a cartridge and apply adhesive in continuous vertical strands with the recommended line spacing.
• Panel placement is off after positioning: Adjust slightly immediately after placing the panel in the planned position (early repositionability is provided at the beginning of application).
