Product Information:
The Somfy Connect UAI Plus is designed to control residential
and commercial SDN motors through IP communication from the
Crestron Home control processor. For detailed controller and
commissioning instructions, refer to the Somfy Connect UAI Plus
Programming Guide.
Connections & Indicators:
The UAI Plus features various connections and indicator
lights:
- RS232/RS485 Wiring Pinout
- LED Behavior for status indication
System Configuration:
A fully operational SDN system is required before programming
with Crestron. Ensure proper setup and functioning of the SDN
system before proceeding with integration.
Pairing Devices:
To add UAI Plus devices to a room:
- In Crestron Home Setup software, add rooms to Build Your
House. - Pair devices by selecting the room where UAI Plus is
located. - Enter IP address, Telnet User Name, and Password for the UAI
Plus. - Repeat the process for additional UAI Plus installations.
Adding UAI Plus Blind Device to a Room:
To add blind devices:
- Navigate to Pair Devices and select Managed Platforms under
Device Types. - Select the folder with installed Paired Devices containing
programmed Single Motors and Motor Groups.
FAQ:
Q: How do I reset the UAI Plus device?
A: The reset button is located under a removable cap on the
device. Press the reset button to perform a reset.
Q: What do the LED indicator colors signify?
A: Green indicates DHCP active, Amber indicates static IP
active, Fast Blink signifies start-up, and Slow Blink signifies
online status.

The Somfy Connect UAI Plus is designed to control residential and commercial SDN motors through IP communication from the Crestron Home control processor.
Details of this controller and commissioning instruction are further referenced in the Somfy Connect UAI Plus Programming Guide.

SYSTEM CONFIGURATION
A fully operational SDN system is required prior to Crestron programming.
· Confirm with Shade Commissioning Agent that the Somfy Connect UAI Plus firmware is up to date
· An Integration Report must be provided by the Shade Commissioning Agent which will include all network, telnet and system parameters

PAIR DEVICES
If integrating with multiple Somfy Connect UAI Plus devices, ensure each unit is installed on a separate Somfy Digital Network. Reference the Integration Report for the UAI Plus IP address and telnet credentials.
ADD UAI PLUS DEVICE TO A ROOM 1) In the Crestron Home Setup software, first complete Step 1 of adding rooms to Build Your House 2) SELECT “Step 2” to Pair Devices
3) In Pair Devices: · SELECT “Drivers” · SELECT “Platform” · SELECT “Somfy”
4) SELECT a room where the UAI Plus is located
5) SELECT the + icon to add the UAI Plus
to the selected room

6) ENTER a descriptive name for the UAI Plus 7) ENTER the IP address of the UAI Plus 8) ENTER the Telnet User Name and Password
of the UAI Plus 9) SELECT “OK”
In a multiple UAI Plus installation, repeat Step 4 for each additional UAI Plus
· To rename a UAI Plus, ENTER a new name in the Device Name field
· To remove a device, SELECT the left arrow icon
10) SELECT the left arrow to the left of “Somfy” to see a list of Device Types. SELECT the left arrow until you reach “Manage Platforms”
11) SELECT “Managed Platforms” to see the list of Device Types
NOTE: Managed Platforms is where the shades/groups in the UAI+ reside as selectable.

ADD UAI PLUS BLIND DEVICE TO A ROOM 1) NAVIGATE to Pair Devices, under Device Types find and SELECT “Managed Platforms” NOTE: The Paired Devices folder contains each Single Motor and Motor Group already programmed by the UAI Plus.
2) SELECT the folder with the Paired Devices installed
3) SELECT a room where a Paired Device
is installed, SELECT the + icon to add the
device to the appropriate room NOTE: Selecting Managed Platform will show the folder containing the motors the driver has detected.

4) ENTER a descriptive name for the Blind device, SELECT “OK” · To rename a device, ENTER a new name in the Device Name field · To remove a device, SELECT the left arrow icon
5) Use the Crestron Home App to test device operation
