Product Usage Instructions
Connecting your Controller
- Make sure the controller is fully charged.
- Turn on your PS5 console.
- Connect your controller to the console via the USB-C cable provided.
- Press the button on the controller until the light on the touchpad illuminates.
- You can now disconnect the USB cable.
- Note: After the initial connection, you can simply press the button to connect wirelessly via Bluetooth in the future.
Bluetooth Visibility
- To put the controller in Bluetooth pairing mode, hold down the SHARE button and press the button. This makes the controller visible in the PlayStation menu Settings under Accessories-General-Bluetooth Accessories.
Charging Controller
- Use the included USB cable to connect the Xero PS5 Controller to your PS5 console for charging. The lights on the controller will indicate charging status.
Wake-up & Sleep
- If the controller is disconnected for more than 30 seconds, it enters sleep mode. Press the button to wake it up. If there’s no user input for more than 10 minutes, it will also go into sleep mode. Press the button to reconnect.
Assigned Players
- The Xero Wireless Controller indicates the player number assigned through the colored bar on the touchpad.

Connecting your Controller
- NOTE – The console supports one primary controller per User, so to use your XERO Controller with an existing User you you must log out any controller already connected as that user.
- If, when adding a controller, you assign it to a new User, then the above steps are not required.
- Connecting your Xero Wireless Controller to your PS5 console is very quick and easy.
- The FIRST TIME you connect the Xero Controller to your console, you MUST do it via the USB-C cable, after which it will function wirelessly without the use of a cable.
- Make sure the controller is fully charged (see Charging Controller section)
- Turn on your console.
- Connect your controller via the USB-C cable (supplied) to the console.
- Then press the
button on the controller until the light on the touch pad illuminates.
- You can now disconnect the USB cable.
- Once you have connected the Xero Controller via these steps, you can just press the
button in future to connect to the console via Bluetooth.
Bluetooth visibility
- You can put the controller into Bluetooth pairing mode by holding down the “SHARE” button and pressing the
button.
- This enables you to make the controller visible when in the PlayStation menu “Settings” – “Accessories”-” General”- ”Bluetooth Accessories.
- The Xero Wireless controller will show up in your Bluetooth accessories as a “DualSense Wireless Controller”
Charging Controller
- Use the included USB Cable to connect your Xero PS5 Controller to your PS5 console. You can do this with the console turned on or in standby mode.
- When you connect the controller to the console via the USB cable, the Lights will briefly flash ORANGE then go off while charging resumes.
- To charge the controller while the console is in rest mode, you will have to enable this on the console.
- The controller can also be charged from other USB power sources such as PC’s and plug-in chargers. Always use a USB cable that complies with the USB standard.
- The light on the controller may not always be visible when charging from other sources.

Wake-up & Sleep
- If the controller is disconnected from the console for more than 30 seconds, it will enter sleep mode. Pressing the
button, it will wake up and automatically connect to the PS5.
- When the controller is connected to the PS5 but receives no input from the user on any of the buttons, touchpad or joysticks for more than 10 minutes, the controller will automatically go into sleep mode.
- To wake the controller up from sleep mode, simply press the
button, and the Xero Controller will reconnect to the PS5.
Assigned Players
The Xero Wireless Controller will automatically indicate which player number is assigned to the controller via the coloured bar on the front edge of the touch pad.
Using Headphones
- Plug the headphones into the controller’s 3.5 mm jack
- Go to Settings
- Select Sound
- Select Audio Output
- Select Output Device
- Select Headset Connected To Controller
- Set Output to Headphones to All Audio
- Adjust the volume level
Resetting The Controller
- If the Xero Wireless Controller becomes unresponsive or cannot connect to the console at any point, or the light on the front of the touchpad unexpectedly flashes, you need to reset the controller.
- Please use a Paper Clip or similar to press and hold the RESET(U) button for 2 seconds on the underside of the controller; this will put the controller into its original factory state.
- You will need to reconnect the controller to the console.
Modifying Your Controller
- The Simple and easy way to modify your Controller is by using the accompanying Xero Configurator App.
- In the App, you can Manage Profiles, Button Remap, Adjust Joystick Sensitivity/Dead Zones, Adjust Trigger Sensitivity, Recoil Compensation, Vibration, Sound and more.

Controller Modes
- PLEASE NOTE: Your Xero Wireless Controller must be paired and connected to the PS5 console to be able to do any of the following tasks.
- Also, make sure the controller has not gone into sleep mode.

Standard Controller Mode
- In this mode, the controller will operate similarly to a regular PS5 controller.
- The cluster of lights will change depending on the game you are playing or which menu you are in on the interface.
Xero Remap Mode
- In this mode, the controller will always be flashing many YELLOW lights. You are required to be in this mode to PLAY, MODIFY or DELETE a remapping Profile.
- TO SWITCH FROM EITHER MODE TO THE OTHER, HOLD (SHARE + OPTIONS) TOGETHER.
- The following steps will guide you through the remapping procedure.
- The example illustrated is remapping the
button to one of the rear paddles, in this case, the FUNCTION R. The buttons being pressed in this process are indicated in RED below.
- If the controller isn’t already in remap mode (flashing YELLOW). Activate it by pressing and holding the SHARE + OPTIONS buttons together until the lights flash YELLOW.
- Proceed to 3 unless you want to change the SLOT being modified.

- Quickly press the SHARE button to scroll through to desired slot 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 (here, SLOT2 is selected).
- Press & hold the SHARE button while also holding the FUNCTION R paddle you wish to assign to, the lights will start to flash quickly in BLUE, now release the buttons.
- Select the (
) button that you want to re-map to the selected FUNCTION R paddle.
- The BLUE lights will briefly go solid to signify the remap has worked, then return to flashing YELLOW.

- Now, each time the FUNCTION R paddle is pressed it will produce (in our example) a
command.

- If you wish to assign a second button to the other function paddle, simply repeat steps 3 & 4, selecting the desired paddle & button to change.
- You can now either remap more buttons or leave in the current YELLOW flashing state to continue gaming with the remap active.
- If the controller isn’t already in remap mode (flashing YELLOW). Activate it by pressing and holding the SHARE + OPTIONS buttons together until the lights flash YELLOW.
Managing Profiles
- Your Xero Wireless controller comes with 5 built-in Remap Profiles which you can customise to suit your gaming needs.
- Each profile is depicted by the number of lights illuminated on the controller.
- To switch between profiles, quickly press the SHARE button when in “Remap” mode, and the lights will cycle through the 5 profiles continuously.
- Stop on the one you want to modify, delete or keep active.
- Each profile can be configured individually with remapped buttons to suit a specific game. Within each profile, you can remap as many buttons as you wish.
- All of the remapped buttons are saved to the controller, so when you exit remap mode or turn off your controller, they will still be there when you turn it back on again.
- When you turn back on the controller or return to remap mode, the profile you were last in will be loaded and will be indicated by the corresponding number of lights.
Remapping Options
The remapping function of the Xero Wireless Controller allows you to:
- Switch the buttons with each other.
- Have several of the same buttons.
- Have multiple buttons mapped to one.
- Add buttons to the rear function paddles.
EXAMPLE:
- If you wanted to change
to the

- Make sure you are in Remap mode (YELLOW flashing lights), change profile (if you wish) using a quick press of the SHARE button.
- Then hold SHARE +
until the lights flash BLUE, now release. Press
, now the light will turn solid BLUE to signify it has been remapped, then will return to the flashing YELLOW of the active slot.
- Now pressing the
button will have the effect of pressing the

on the controller will still function as the
too, so consider this when assigning buttons.
- It is also easy to map multiple buttons to just one on the controller.
- For example, you could have L1+L2 mapped to the single Function R paddle on the rear of the controller
- To do this, simply press L1+L2 at the same time when assigning your buttons to Function R.
The following digital buttons can be used for remapping:
- To reset an individual button within a profile, hold SHARE and the specific button until the lights flash BLUE, then simply press the SHARE button again; that button will now be the default PS5 button again.
- To erase the mapping for a whole profile, toggle to the desired one by tapping the SHARE button, then hold the SHARE button for about 3 seconds until all lights turn RED. That Profile is now erased and returned to the default PS5 button setup.
- Remember, the controller will only work with your modified buttons if the controller is still in “remap mode” with the YELLOW profile lights illuminated on the controller.
Maintenance & Safety
- Do not use in places with high humidity, high temperatures, dust, strong magnets or corrosive gases.
- Do not disassemble or modify the controller.
- Do not insert foreign objects into any part of the controller and its ports.
- Do not use solvents or chemicals to clean the controller.
- Use only a dry, soft cloth to clean the controller.
- Keep away from water.
- Do not place the controller on unstable surfaces.
- Do not put items on top of the controller.
- Do not place the controller in places which could harm others.
- Do not throw or drop the controller or subject it to violent forces.
- When removing the USB cable, do so gently to avoid damaging the console or controller.

- Keep out of reach of young children.
- Avoid extended periods of use.
- Limit volume if using headphones to protect your hearing.
- Be aware of your surroundings when playing.
- Stop playing if you feel tired or ill.
- Do not handle an exposed or damaged lithium-ion battery.
Storage
- Do not store or transport where high temperatures and humidity are present.
- Do not expose to dust, smoke or steam.
- Keep out of direct sunlight.

FAQ
How do I charge the controller when the PS5 is in rest mode?
You need to enable charging while in rest mode in the console settings. The controller can also be charged using other USB power sources.
Can multiple controllers be connected to one user profile?
