Product Usage Instructions

Installation

1. Locate the desired installation area on the ceiling grid.
2. Ensure the area can support the weight of the speaker.
3. Insert the Lay-In Ceiling Speaker into the ceiling grid.
4. Secure the speaker using appropriate mounting accessories like the V-TBAR Trim Bar.

Description

The V-9021 1ft x 2ft Lay-In Ceiling Speaker is designed with a backbox that provides superb sound quality and coverage. The integral backbox meets or exceeds A.S.T.M. E84 flame and smoke test and has a three-hour burn rating (UL181). The V-9021 blends well with many environments including classrooms, healthcare facilities, training rooms, lecture halls and offices. The 1ft x 2ft Lay-in Ceiling Speaker is an excellent choice for high-quality voice paging and emergency alerts for indoor areas.

Instructions for use

ARCHITECTS AND ENGINEERS

• The 1ft x 2ft Lay-in Ceiling Speaker, model V-9021, shall consist of a white nominal perforated grille, a speaker, volume control, an integral backbox, and a trim bar. The volume control shall be accessible through the perforated grille.
• The V-9021 Lay-in Ceiling Speaker signal-to-noise ratio shall be -70dB. The amplifier shall operate on a -24 Vdc nominal power supply. The operating current shall be 50 mA at -24 Vdc. The V-9021 speaker shall be 8.00in (20.32cm) in diameter and have a 5oz (142g) ceramic magnet. The speaker impedance shall be 45 ohms. The operating temperature shall be +32 to +122 °F (0 to +50 °C).
• The V-9021 Lay-in Ceiling Speaker baffle shall be constructed with a single piece of perforated steel with a white baked-on acrylic enamel finish. The backbox meets or exceeds A.S.T.M. E84 flame and smoke test and has a three-hour burn rating (UL181). Four seismic tabs were provided for additional mounting integrity. The V-9021 shall be suitable for indoor applications.
• The maximum dimensions shall be 11.75in H x 23.75in W x 3.75in D (29.85cm x 60.33cm x 9.53cm). Weight shall be approximately 4.70lbs.
• The V-9021 shall be UL and cUL listed.
