Compatibility
TriggerTech’s ACE System for Glock is compatible with all standard frame Generations of Glocks (1-5) in 9mm & .40 S&W. The models are: G17,17L,19, 19x, 21, 22, 23, 24, 26, 34, 35, 45, 47.
Gen 5 Glocks requires the removal of a small tab on the frame.
Due to tolerance fluctuations in some frames, fitting and filing might be required by a certified gunsmith to ensure the lever safety is operating properly.
TriggerTech has not verified compatibility with Gen 3 based clones.

Step 1: Unload your firearm and disassemble
1a) Read TriggerTech Disclaimer and TriggerTech Lifetime Warranty prior to installation and use. 1b) Visually and physically confirm the firearm is unloaded while keeping the muzzle pointed in a safe direction at all time. 1c) Remove slide.

Step 2: Remove the existing trigger
2a) Remove the front trigger pin(s), and then the rear trigger pin. 2b) Remove barrel lug a then the slide stop.
2c) Lift the trigger up and out of the pistol.

Step 3: Install the TriggerTech Disconnect Module
3a)
3a) Remove the factory back plate by using the included pin tool to depress the firing pin spacer sleeve and then remove the slide cover plate. 3b) Install the TriggerTech disconnect module by using the pin tool to depress the firing pin spacer sleeve, then the extractor rod as you slide the disconnect module up and into place. 3c) You should hear an audible click when the back plate is seated and not be able to slide it out.

Note: REQUIRED Gen 5 modification
WARNING
TAB MUST BE REMOVED
Gen 5 Glocks have a small plastic tab at the back of the frame. It must be removed for the ACE Trigger System operate. The firearm WILL NOT be able to function unless the tab is removed. Use a sharp knife to carefully cut the tab flush with the frame.

Step 4: Install TriggerTech Ace System Trigger
4a) Carefully mount the transfer bar from the lever module into slot of the sear module. The two parts should nest easily without using any force. 4b) Insert the lever module first followed the rear module into the frame. 4c) Reinstall the slide stop and barrel lug. 4d) Reinstall the pins into their respective holes.

Step 5: Safety lever function verification
Verify your safety lever is working correctly. Visually confirm your trigger lever safety matches the illustrations below in each mode.
Safety Engaged
If you apply a force at the top of the lever (where it meets the frame using the pin tool), the safety stop should contact the frame and prevent to gun from firing.
Safety Disengaged
If you apply you finger to the trigger normally and start to press the trigger, the safety stop should clear the frame without interference.
Fired
If you pull through the wall and hear the firing pin release, the overtravel stop should contact the frame

Step 6: Fit to frame corrective action
In some cases, due to tolerance fluctuations on the frame, the lever safety might interfere excessively and cause the lever to feel sticky or gritty when the lever is actuated. The first step is to adjust the reset travel.
If you are experiencing this, you will require the assistance of a Glock Certified Armorer to fit the trigger to the frame.
To adjust the trigger reset position remove material from this tab using an abrasive tool. Only remove a small amount between fitting trials to mitigate lever to frame interference.

Step 6: Fit to frame corrective action (cont’d)
If the sticking persists, then removing a small amount of material from the safety stop should alleviate the sticking issue. To adjust the lever safety to frame fit remove material in small increments using a file or abrasive tool between the fitment trials on the indicated lever safety stop. Only remove the necessary material to achieve smooth lever function.
If the problem persists, contact TriggerTech customer service for further help at suppport@triggertech.com or a qualified gunsmith. If the issue is resolved, then proceed with the function checks in step 7 to verify that the lever safety is performing correctly. WARNING: Do not attempt step 6 without the assistance of a Glock Certified Armorer. WARNING: Due to possible frame tolerance variations, it is possible that the lever safety may be rubbing excessively or not functioning at all. DO NOT USE the ACE Trigger System if the lever safety is not functioning properly.

Step 7: Function check

Prior to using your firearm, perform the following tests without ammunition and confirming your firearm is unloaded and pointed in a safe direction at all times to confirm your installation was done correctly. If your pistol fails any of these tests do not use your pistol and contact TriggerTech Support or take your pistol to a certified Glock Amorer.

Perform the following tests with the slide removed from the frame:

7a) Firing Pin Channel: Hold the firing pin safety depressed with your fingertip, and vigorously shake the slide from end to end. You should hear the firing pin moving freely in the firing pin channel. Ensure that the Disconnect Module is not interfering with the movement of the firing pin.

7b) Check the trigger lever safety by trying to lift the firing pin safety

lever up. The trigger lever safety should block the transfer bar in

such that the sear will not drop unless the trigger lever has been

actuated.

WARNING: Due to possible frame tolerance variations, it is possible that the lever safety may be rubbing excessively or not functioning at all. DO NOT USE the ACE Trigger System if the lever safety is not functioning properly.

Step 7: Function check (cont’d)
7c) Test reset – pull and hold the trigger, push down the transfer bar and you should hear an audible click which indicates reset has occurred. Release the trigger lever and the transfer bar should return up to its starting position.

Sear

7d) Firing Pin Safety Test: Hold the slide and pull the lug of the firing pin all the way to the rear of the slide and then ease it forward until it stops in contact with the firing pin safety. Then press the lug of the firing pin forward with your forefinger using moderate force. The firing pin must not move forward past the firing pin safety, and must not protrude from the breech face of the slide. If the firing pin safety fails to keep the firing pin from moving forward. DO NOT LOAD OR FIRE YOUR PISTOL. Instead, have it inspected and repaired by Glock Certified Armorer.

Step 7: Function check (cont’d)
7e) Firing Pin: Hold the slide with the muzzle end downward, and press the firing pin safety into the slide with your fingertip. The firing pin should move downward, and the tip of the firing pin should protrude from the breech face. (Note: On brand new pistols you may need to apply light downward pressure to the rear of the firing pin lug with your finger to assist the firing pin in moving downward).
7f ) Inspect the ejector to ensure that it is intact.

Step 7: Function check (cont’d)
Perform the following tests with the firearm fully assembled.
7g) Cycle the slide to reset the trigger, press the trigger. You should hear and feel the firing pin release.
7h) Cycle the slide, press and hold the trigger to the rear. While continuing to hold the trigger to the rear, cycle the slide then release the trigger. The trigger should reset. Press the trigger to ensure the firing pin releases.
7i) Insert an EMPTY magazine into the pistol. Pull the slide fully to the rear, the slide should lock open.
7j) Make sure that the trigger lever moves freely and does not touch the trigger guard. There should not be an audible clicking sound.
7k) Once 7a – j have been successfully passed without ammunition, you can begin using ammunition at a range. Start with one round and slowly increase the number of live rounds in your magazine.

Take up, break weight and reset feel adjustment
Users can tune the take up, break weight and reset feel of the trigger to their individual preference. Included with your TriggerTech ACE System are three springs: heavy take-up spring installed, a light take-up spring and a light plunger spring. Users can use different combinations of springs to find the right pull weight range and feel, then use our patented CLKR TechnologyTM to dial-in their own setting.
Factory Setting Competitive Special Model
Your TriggerTech trigger is set near the middle of the advertised pull weight range with the heavy take-up spring installed. WARNING: It is recommended to operate your trigger at, or above, factory setting. Exercise caution when adjusting your pull weight and repeat Step 7 prior to using live ammunition.

Pull weight adjustment – lever spring
Your TriggerTech ACE Trigger System is pre-installed with the heavy take-up spring (silver), and a light take-up spring (gold). To change the spring follow the below steps: a) Dismount the lever by pressing the pin out with the included lever pin tool. b) Remove the spring. c) Insert the new spring into the spring lever pocket of the trigger lever and engage the spring protrusion in the transfer bar. d) Reinstall the pin.

Pull weight adjustment – plunger spring
To change your factory plunger spring to the included TriggeTech ACE Trigger System light plunger spring (black color): a) Remove the backplate (see step 3a) b) Remove the extractor tension rod and striker assembly. c) Depress the plunger to remove the extractor. It will fall out of the slide. The plunger will also fall out. d) Remove the spring that is nested in the plunger. e) Replace it with the ACE TriggerTech System spring and press it firmly into the plunger so it is set in place and won’t fall out on its own. f ) Reinstall the plunger and apply pressure on it inward to the slide while you put the extractor back in. Then reinstall extension rod and striker assembly. g) Reinstall the backplate.

Pull weight adjustment warning
PULL WEIGHT ADJ.
IMPORTANT: Your TriggerTech ACE Trigger System allows you to adjust your trigger pull weight. The set screw is located ontop of the Sear Module and is set to near the middle of the advertised pull weight range. To adjust pull weight, insert the supplied 5/64″ Allen wrench. To increase pull weight, turn the set screw clockwise. Do not adjust your Sear Module more than 8 full rotations from the lowest pull weight. WARNING: It is recommended to operate your trigger at, or above, factory setting. Exercise caution when adjusting your pull weight and repeat Step 7 prior to using live ammunition.

Pull weight adjustment warning (cont’d)
The TriggerTech ACE System trigger has an adjustable take up, break weight and reset feel. The factory setting is near the middle of the advertised range. There is such a thing as a trigger that is too light to be considered safe. This weight will change depending on the specifics of the firearm, the experience of the shooter and the intended use case (how the gun and all of its components are operated/handled). TriggerTech strongly recommends that you get some trigger time on your TriggerTech trigger before adjusting the break weight below the factory setting (a trigger set at 4.0 lbs is safer than a trigger set at 2.5 lbs). As you reduce the pull weight of a TriggerTech ACE Trigger System you are reducing the amount of spring tension in the trigger and it is possible that you may reach a point where the trigger in a specific firearm is not safe for the intended use case and/or the shooter.
The triggers pull weight should not suddenly change on its own. If it does stop using it immediately and contact TriggerTech Support.
Shooters are reminded to always follow the NRA Gun Safety Rules.

Maintenance / Cleaning
Your TriggerTech trigger is designed to operate maintenance and lubricant free. It is recommended that you minimize the amount of oil and gun cleaning products that get in contact with the trigger.
We recommend keeping the pistol residue to a minimum.
If you believe your trigger is not working properly due to contamination, we recommend you take to following steps: 1. Ensure your firearm is unloaded. 2. Rack the slide, dry fire the firearm repeatedly. 3. If step 2 is unsuccessful, remove your TriggerTech trigger from the frame and you can try to clean with compressed air and/or a grease cutting agent that does not leave residue. We recommend lighter fluid, letting it dry, and blowing out the trigger with compressed air. Follow the TriggerTech Installation Instructions when reinstalling your trigger. 4. If step 3 is unsuccessful, we do NOT recommend opening your trigger housing and suggest you contact TriggerTech and arrange to have your trigger serviced. Note: breaking the “void if removed” will indicate that you have opened your trigger and may void the Limited Warranty.
