  • A. INPUT CONNECTOR
The XLR Female & 1 /4″ combo input connector is configured as a mono balanced input and should be connected to the main line level output from your mixer or audio source. For optimal performance, an audio source with balanced line outputs should be used in order to reduce possible noise and keep the input stages of the system at acceptable levels, thereby avoiding clipped input signals.
  • B. LINK OUT- LOOP THROUGH
The XLR LINK OUT loop-through connector enables linking out the signal to multiple powered spealker units.
  • C. MASTER LEVEL CONTROL
The rotary level potentiometer controls the output level volume of the ZETHUS-A21 0PW spealker. It is good practice to have the level potentiometer at its lowest setting (rotated completely anti-clockwise) prior to switching the ZETHUS-A21 0PW on or off.
  • D. POWER LED
This indicator will light up when the unit is turned on.
  • E. SIGNAL LED
This indicator will blink when there is a signal input.
  • F. LIMIT LED
This indicator lights up when the amplifier is near clipping. An occasional flickering is acceptable. If the LED is lit continuously, adjust the master level control and reduce the output level of connected sources.
Failure to do so may lead to premature failure of the speaker.
  • G.HF
This switch gives the possibility to set high frequencies correction depending on target distance:
    • NEAR (suggest to use for pole mount applications or near field)
    • FAR (suggest to use for flying setup or farthest field)
  • H. HIGH CURVING
When this switch is pressed in the ‘ON’ position, it will trigger a boost for mid-high frequency.
  • I. DSP PRESETS
    • PRESET 1: Used for pole mount applications ground stacking (2-3 modules)
    • PRESET 2: Used for pole mount or small flown system (4-6 modules)
    • PRESET 3: Used for medium flown system (7-9 modules)
    • PRESET 4: Used for large flown system (10-12 modules)
  • J. POWERCON IN CONNECTOR
Mains AC Input connector. Only use the cable supplied with this speaker to power up the unit.
DO NOT modify the cable in any way.
  • K. POWERCON OUT CONNECTOR
Mains AC loop-through Output connector, allowing multiple ZETHUS-A21 0PW speakers to be powered by the same mains outlet. Only use Powercon Output-Powercon Input cables to connect multiple speaker cabinets. 3 core cable (Live, Neutral and Earth), minimum 1 mm diameter/core.
  • L. POWER ON-OFF SWITCH
The main power switch, which switches the speaker ON or OFF.
  • M. FUSE
    220V /5A fuse
  • N. POWER SELECTOR
This switch is supplied for moving the unit from 115 voltage (US standard) to 230 voltage (European standard). The switch needs to be set on the proper voltage for your area.

Installation & Mounting

ZETHUS-A21 OPW speakers can be ground-stacked or hung/suspended together with the associated speaker pole accessories and fly frame. It also includes integrated flying/ground-stack hardware, allowing for multiple cabinets to be coupled in a vertical line with the option of various indMdual splay angles between o· and 15° when flown.

REAR RIGGING BAR
The rigging bar is used for both ground-stacking and flown applications. It has multiple vertical splay angles between o· and 15° as demonstrated below, making various vertical curvature arrays possible, thus, suiting most venues. Through careful project planning and the correct curvature integration, a smooth and consistent SPL is achievable throughout the target audience.

GROUND-STACK WITH A SUBWOOFER
Ground-stack configuration can be designed using ZETHUS-A21 OPW cabinet. It’s recommended to do setup coupled with dual 15″ powered subwoofer ZETHUS-215SPW for a small to medium indoor scenario (up to 600 people) or coupled with the dual 18″ powered subwoofer ZETHUS-218SPW for larger indoor or outdoor scenario (up to 1500 people).

  1. Position the stack frame in the center of the top of the subwoofer. Secure the 3 metal rigging hardware at the three support points to the stack frame using hex-head screws, as shown in the right.SOUND-TOWN-ZETHUS-A21-OPW-Dual-1-O-Inch-Powered-Line-Array-6
  2. Align the front-end left and right rigging holes of the ZETHUS-A21 OPW with the front-end rigging holes of the A21 OFF stack frame and secure the left and right side with the quick lock pins. Lift the rear of the ZETHUS-A21 OPW and align the rear rigging hardware to the rear rigging hole of the ZETHUS-A21 OPW, then secure the rear side with the quick lock pin.
(In stacking mode, It’s recommended to lock only at 0°.)SOUND-TOWN-ZETHUS-A21-OPW-Dual-1-O-Inch-Powered-Line-Array-7
  3. Repeat step 2 with the second cabinet or more.
(It’s recommended not to exceed a maximum of 6 speakers in stacking mode.)

FLOWN APPLICATION

SAFETY WHEN FLYING THE ZETHUS-A21 0PW CABINETS
Ensure the structure from which the line array will be hung is certified by a qualified structural engineer.
Only use the correct fly frame (ZETHUS-A21 OFF) when flying the ZETHUS-A21 OPW cabinets, and before use perform a visual check on the fly frame for any damage that may have occurred in previous usages.

It is recommended that the hoist and shackles that are used for suspending the line array be rated with an Bx safety margin of total load for indoor applications and a 16x safety margin of total load for outdoor applications.

Never suspend the line arrays above the audience or technical crew, especially when using the line array for a temporary event.
Always suspend the line arrays with the inclusion of safety chains that are not taut, with as little falling distance as possible required for the safety chain to hold the load.

STEP PROCEDURE FOR FLYING APPLICATION

  1. Attach the two shackles securely to the fly frame.
  2. Attach the lifting hoist securely to the shackles.SOUND-TOWN-ZETHUS-A21-OPW-Dual-1-O-Inch-Powered-Line-Array-9
  3. Align the top front-end rigging holes of the A21 OPW with the front-end rigging holes of the A21 OFF fly frame, and secure the left and right side with the quick lock pins.
Lift the rear of the A21 OPW cabinet and align the desired angle of the integrated splay bar with the fly frame using the quick lock pin.SOUND-TOWN-ZETHUS-A21-OPW-Dual-1-O-Inch-Powered-Line-Array-10
  4. Repeat the step for the next cabinet to be installed until the complete line has been hung.
It’s not recommended to hang more than 12 cabinets in a line.
  5. Once the complete array has been hung.
Lift the array slightly off the ground until it is freely suspended and ensure that the overall angle is correct.
