Product description

  • Shelly 2L Gen3 (the Device) is a compact, dual-channel smart switch. A standout feature of this device is that it doesn’t require a Neutral wire to operate. However, it needs a Shelly Bypass connected in parallel to the load at the first channel.
  • Shelly 2l2len3 allows users to effortlessly control resistive, inductive, and capacitive loads through a mobile phone, tablet, PC, or integrated home automation system. It is convenient for managing lighting setups, electric heaters, transformers, fans, generators, etc.
  • The device can function standalone within a local Wi-Fi network or can be integrated with cloud home automation services. As long as the device remains connected to a Wi-Fi router and the Internet, users gain the flexibility to access, control, and monitor their configurations from virtually anywhere.
  • Designed with adaptability in mind, Shelly 2l 2ln3 is engineered to snugly fit within standard electrical wall boxes, be discreetly placed behind light switches, or in other areas where space might be a limiting factor. An added benefit is its embedded Web Interface, which allows users to fine-tune the Device settings with ease.
  • This device has MMaMatter-ready functionality that can be added with a firmware update.

Installation instructions

  • To connect the Device, we recommend using solid single-core wires or stranded wires with ferrules. The wires should have insulation with increased heat resistance, not less than PVC T105°C (221°F).
  • When connecting wires to the Device terminals, consider the specified conductor cross-section and stripped length. Do not connect multiple wires to a single terminal.
  1. Connect the first load (up to 1,2 A) to the O1 terminal of the Device and the Neutral wire as shown in the wiring diagram.
  2. Connect the Shelly Bypass, provided in the package, in parallel to the first load (mandatory except for incandescent lights).
  3. Connect the second load to the O2 terminal and the Neutral wire.
  4. Connect the first switch or button to the S1 and Sx terminals.
  5. Connect the second switch or button to the S2 and Sx terminals.
  6. Connect the Live wire to the L terminal.
