SAFETY WARNINGS FOR USE
AUTOMATIC VOLTAGE STABILISERS AVR
The following list of safety warnings has been compiled in accordance with the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988 (GPSR). Its purpose is to protect users from potential hazards arising from the misuse of products. The warnings have been formulated in a simple and understandable way to be accessible to a wide audience, including the elderly and people with reduced mobility.
Automatic AVR voltage stabilisers up to 2 kVA on offer from manufacturer NTEC sp. z o.o. are CE certified, which proves their compliance with EU safety standards.
Use AVR automatic voltage stabilisers as intended and as recommended by the manufacturer.
BASIC HAZARDS AND PRECAUTIONS
- Electrical risk:
● Connect the AVR to a working electrical outlet with a suitable earth connection, in with the manufacturer’s instructions.
● Avoid touching the AVR cables or connectors with wet hands to prevent the risk of electric shock. - Risk of overloading:
● Do not connect devices to the AVR that exceed its maximum load to avoid overheating and potential damage.
● Check that the total power of the connected appliances does not exceed the rated power of the AVR. - Risk of overheating:
● Ensure adequate ventilation around the AVR, keeping the space clear in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
● Avoid installing the AVR near heat sources such as radiators, cookers or direct sunlight.SPECIFIC RISKS OF USE
- During installation:
● Ensure that the AVR is placed on a stable, dry and clean surface that does not conduct electricity.
● Connect devices only to the dedicated sockets or connectors on the AVR, according to their intended use. - During operation:
● Do not disconnect the AVR’s power cord from the mains while it is running to prevent excessive battery drainage.
● Regularly monitor the AVR’s operating indicators to ensure that it is working properly.MAINTENANCE PRECAUTIONS
- Cleaning:
● Regularly clean the AVR housing with a dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. Make sure the AVR is switched off and disconnected from the mains before cleaning.
● Avoid using wet cloths or aggressive chemicals that may damage the case. - Status check:
● Regularly check the AVR’s cables, sockets and connectors for signs of wear and tear, such as abrasion, cracks or loose connections.
● Monitor diagnostic indicators on the device, such as messages about possible surges. - UPS storage:
● When the AVR is not in use, store it in a dry, clean place, away from moisture and extreme temperatures.ADDITIONAL WARNINGS
- Child safety:
● Keep the AVR out of the reach of children to prevent accidental activation of the unit or damage to its components. - Avoid modifications:
● Do not attempt to modify or repair the AVR yourself. In case of problems, contact the manufacturer or its authorised service centre. - Action in the event of an emergency:
● If the unit exhibits abnormal operation, such as overheating, sparking, unusual odour or noises, immediately switch it off and disconnect it from the power supply and then contact the service centre.
● If you observe any unsafe product behaviour, contact the manufacturer urgently.
THE IMPORTANCE OF COMPLYING WITH THE WARNINGS
Following the above warnings minimises the risk of personal injury, equipment failure and property damage. Ignoring the recommendations can lead to serious health and material risks. Keep yourself and your loved ones safe by observing the precautions indicated.
