Product Usage Instructions

Connecting via Wireless Mode (2.4 GHz):

  1. Insert the wireless USB adapter into an available USB port on the Xbox Series X|S console or Windows 10/11 PC.
  2. If the controller is off, press the Xbox button to turn it on (LED will flash WHITE).
  3. To pair the controller and adapter:
    1. Press and hold the SYNC button on top of the controller for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode (LED will flash WHITE rapidly).
    2. Repeat the previous step using the SYNC button on the top of the 2.4GHz adapter.
    3. Both controller and adapter will flash several times and then pair. Once successfully paired, both LEDs on controller and adapter will be solid WHITE.

CONNECTING VIA WIRED USB MODE

  1. Connect the included USB-C® Cable to the USB-C port at the top of the controller and connect the other end to an available USB port on the Xbox Series X|S console or Windows 10/11 PC.
  2. If controller is off, press the Xbox button to turn on (LED will illuminate WHITE).
  3. For player and controller assignment, refer to the Xbox user manual.

CONNECTING VIA WIRELESS MODE: 2.4 GHZ

  1. Insert the wireless USB adapter into an available USB port on the Xbox Series X|S console or Windows 10/11 PC.
  2. If controller is off, press the Xbox button (icon) to turn on (LED will flash WHITE).
  3. 2.4 GHz should be paired to the Xbox FUSION Pro Wireless Controller by default. If it is not paired, please follow the instructions below to sync the controller to the adapter:
    • Press and hold the SYNC button on top of the controller for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode (LED will flash WHITE rapidly).
    • Repeat this step using the SYNC button on the top of the 2.4GHz adapter.
    • Both controller and adapter will flash several times and then pair. Once successfully paired both LEDs on controller and adapter will be solid WHITE.

NOTE: When not playing in Wireless mode, the 2.4 GHz wireless USB adapter can be stored in the back of the controller display stand. The wireless adapter does not connect or pass through the stand to the Console or PC when stored in the controller stand. The wireless adapter must be plugged directly into the Console or PC for wireless connection.

CHARGING CONTROLLER VIA USB
For best results, fully charge controller prior to first use.

  1. Connect the included USB-C cable to the USB-C port at the top of the controller and connect the other end to an available USB port on the Xbox Series X|S console or Windows 10/11 PC.
  2. When charging, the Battery Status LED on the top housing will flash AMBER.
  3. When fully charged the LED will be solid WHITE.
  4. LED will flash RED when battery is low.

CHARGING CONTROLLER VIA MAGNETIC CHARGER

  1. Connect the included USB-C cable to the USB-C port at the top of the charging puck and connect the other end to any powered USB source.
  2. Place the Xbox FUSION Pro Wireless Controller on the charging puck. The magnets will help align the charge contact points.
  3. The LED ring on the Xbox button of the Xbox FUSION Pro Wireless Controller will flash AMBER three times to indicate charging has started . Lumectra lighting will return to the current LED mode and color setting.
  4. The Battery Status LED on the top housing will also flash AMBER while charging.
  5. The Battery Status LED and the Xbox button LED ring will turn solid WHITE when fully charged.
  6. The controller will be held magnetically to the puck and charge whether the puck is used alone or with the Display Stand.

PROGRAMMING THE ADVANCED GAMING BUTTONS

  • A. Press the PRO/MAP Button on the back of the controller for 3 seconds.
  • B. The Xbox Button LED ring will flash WHITE, signaling the controller is in assign mode.
  • C. Press the button (A/B/X/Y/LT/RT/LB/RB/Left Stick Press/Right Stick Press/D-pad) you wish to assign to an Advanced Gaming Button.
  • D. Then press the Advanced Gaming Button (AGR1/AGR2 or AGL1/AGL2) that you wish to perform that function. The Xbox Button LED ring will turn solid WHITE, signaling the Advanced Gaming Button has been set. Repeat for the remaining Advanced Gaming Buttons.

NOTE: Advanced Gaming Button assignments will remain in memory even after disconnected.

RESETTING THE ADVANCED GAMING BUTTONS

  1. Hold the PRO/MAP Button down for 2-3 seconds. The Xbox Button LED will slowly flash, signaling the controller is in assign mode.
  2. Press the previously assigned Advanced Gaming Button for 5 seconds, and the function will be cleared.

QUICK-TWIST ADJUSTABLE ANALOG STICK

Each thumbstick can be adjusted to one of three heights:

  1. To change height, twist the analog cap clockwise until you feel it catch the next height notch. If you want to go to the tallest height turn it a second time.
  2. To return to the standard height, turn the analog cap a third time and the analog stick will drop back down to the standard height.

TRIGGER LOCK ADJUSTMENT

PROFILE SETTINGS

  • A. Quick-tap the PRO/MAP button to cycle through profile settings for T1/T2/T3 trigger locks. The Xbox FUSION Pro Wireless controller can store up to 3 profiles at a time locally. The first 3 profiles set by default adjust the deadzone settings for the triggers.
    Profile 1 is 99% deadzone and is the maximum value setting (use for T1 trigger lock).
    Profile 2 is 50% deadzone (use for T2 trigger lock).
    Profile 3 is no deadzone/full-throw trigger pull (use for T3 trigger lock).
    Each press of the PRO/MAP button will change to the next profile and then repeat the cycle: 3 —> 2 —> 1 —> 3
  • B. The top housing LED faceplate will quickly flash 3 times in the corresponding profile color to signal a profile has been changed and then return to the current LED mode and color settings.
  • C. To clear the profiles or change the settings, please use the PowerA Gamer HQ app. The above 3 default settings will be saved as legacy settings (Profile 1 / Profile 2 / Profile 3 in the PowerA Gamer HQ app). The app can store hundreds of custom profile settings that can be pushed to the controller, but the controller can only store 3 at any given time chosen from the app.

GamerHQ

The GamerHQ app can be used to test, calibrate, and customize settings on your controller.

With your controller connected to Xbox or Windows 10/11 PC via USB-C cable you can:

  • Update firmware to the to the latest version
  • Test your controller’s buttons and analog controls, vibration functionality, and audio
  • Recalibrate analog inputs for proper control response
  • Set trigger and thumbstick deadzone/active area
  • Set game-chat volume balance and vibration intensity
  • Control all RGB LED settings
  • Remap buttons (including Advanced Gaming Buttons)

You can also create custom profiles to use for different games or players, and push up to three profiles to your controller for convenient access via the PROFILES button while you are gaming. You can download the GamerHQ app from the Windows Store using Xbox or a Windows 10/11 PC.

  • A. Quick-tap the LEDS button to cycle through LED modes. Each press of the LEDS button will change to a new mode. To customize each mode press and hold the LEDS button for 2 seconds. The entire top housing will quick flash 3 times GREEN to note program mode is active. The controller will not function with the Console or PC when in LED program mode.
  • B. Adjustments for each mode and zone will be noted below. To exit LED programming press and hold the LEDS button again for 2 seconds and the top housing will flash GREEN 3
    times. After this has been done the controller will function with the Console or PC again.
  • C. The following modes will cycle with each tap of the LEDS button:
    • WAVE
    • ZONE (includes SOLID, BREATHING, and CYCLE modes)
    • PULSE REACTIVE
    • RIPPLE REACTIVE
  • D. TURN ON/OFF LEDS – The LEDS can be turned on or off at any time by quick-pressing the MENU + OPTIONS button at the same time.

LED MODE ADJUSTMENT

NOTE: You can also control all Lumectra settings using the GamerHQ app while controller is connected via USB-C cable to an Xbox console or Windows 10/11 PC. Lumectra settings can be saved to a profile in GamerHQ, and up to 3 profiles can be pushed to your controller while connected to GamerHQ. Profiles pushed to your controller can be accessed via the PROFILES button. (See PROFILE SETTINGS section above for details.)
Once you have selected one of the LED modes by quick-tapping the LEDS button you are able to customize the mode:

WAVE MODE: LEDs wash across the controller in various directions in either a rainbow effect or a single color.

  1. Press Let on the D-Pad to change from rainbow cycle or single-color wave mode.
  2. Press Right to cycle through directions for the wave. Each press of the D-Pad Right will change the direction.
    • Center Fusion (wave starts in the center of controller and moves outward)
    • Outer Fusion (wave starts at edge of controller and moves inward towards center)
    • Vertical Bounce (wave moves up and down repeatedly)
    • Left Wave (wave starts from left and goes to right)
    • Right Wave (wave starts from right and goes to left)
    • Downwards Wave (wave moves from bottom to top)
    • Upwards Wave (wave moves from top to bottom)
    • Horizontal Bounce (wave moves left to right repeatedly)
  3. Press right on the D-Pad to change colors when in single-color wave.
    • Each button A/B/X/Y will cycle through 6 different colors on each press.

ZONE MODE: The Xbox FUSION Pro Wireless controller features 4 customizable zones on the top housing. Each zone can be set independently for color, mode, speed, and brightness or can be turned off.

  1. To enter LED Program Mode on the controller, hold the LEDS button on the back of the controller for 2 seconds when you have the ZONES MODE selected.
  2. Once in ZONE MODE you can choose one of the 4 available zones to customize. The zones are separated as shown in the image to the right.
  3. The current programmable Zone will flash 3 times once in LED programming mode. To toggle through the 4 Zones, press RIGHT on the D-PAD. (Zone One is the default starting zone.)
  4. Select one of the A/B/X/Y buttons to choose your color: green, red, blue, or yellow.
  5. Next, continue pressing the selected A/B/X/Y button to toggle through 6 shades of that color.
  6. Press LEFT on the D-Pad to program the zone’s light effect: “Solid”, “Breathing”, or “Cycle”.
  7. Press UP or DOWN on the D-Pad to adjust that zone’s brightness level.
  8. In program mode, press LEDs once to turn off the current zone independently of the other zones. If the current zone is set to “off”, press LEDS once to turn the zone back on.
  9. Press the VIEW button to toggle through multiple speed settings for the current zone. Press the MENU button to toggle through multiple speed settings for all 4 zones simultaneously. NOTE: This feature is only available in “Breathing” and “Cycle” modes.PowerA-Fusion-Wireless-Controllers- (14)
  10. While in program mode, press LB to sync all zones to the same lighting mode and toggle all zones through the 3 lighting modes simultaneously; press RB to sync all zones to the same color and toggle all zones through the 24 colors and shades simultaneously.
  11. While in program mode, press LT to decrease the brightness of all zones simultaneously; press RT to increase the brightness of all zones simultaneously.

ZONE LIGHTING CONTROL

PULSE REACTIVE MODE: LEDs move across the controller starting at the button/input pressed and then fade away rapidly.

  1. To enter LED Program Mode on the controller, hold the LEDS button on the back of the controller for 2 seconds when you have the PULSE REACTIVE MODE selected.
  2. The top housing will flash 3 times GREEN when in programming mode.
  3. Press left on the D-Pad to choose either Rainbow cycle mode, or single-color mode.
  4. Rainbow cycle mode allows you to set your brightness by pressing up or down on the D- Pad. No further changes are available in Rainbow cycle mode.
  5. Single-color mode allows you to adjust brightness and select one of the A/B/X/Y buttons to choose your color: green, red, blue, or yellow.
  6. Next, continue pressing the selected A/B/X/Y button to toggle through 6 shades of that color.
  7. Once done choosing your mode and color settings, long press the LEDS button to exit program mode.

RIPPLE REACTIVE MODE: LEDs surround the button/input pressed with a bright LED color that then fades away gradually. Multiple presses on different buttons will cause the LEDs to light up in several areas at once and then fade away. LEDs move across the controller starting at the button/input pressed and then fade away rapidly.

  1. To enter LED Program Mode on the controller, hold the LEDs button on the back of the controller for 2 seconds when you have the RIPPLE REACTIVE MODE selected.
  2. The top housing will flash 3 times GREEN when in programming mode.
  3. Press left on the D-Pad to choose either Rainbow cycle mode, or single-color mode.
  4. The A/B/X/Y buttons will show four different colors to denote you are in Rainbow cycle mode and will be a solid color when in single-color mode.
  5. Rainbow cycle mode allows you to set your brightness by pressing up or down on the D-Pad. No further changes are available in Rainbow cycle mode.
  6. Single-color mode allows you to adjust brightness and also select one of the A/B/X/Y buttons to choose your color: green, red, blue, or yellow.
  7. Next, continue pressing the selected A/B/X/Y button to toggle through 6 shades of that color.
  8. Once done choosing your mode and color settings, long press the LEDS button to exit program mode.

TROUBLESHOOTING

  • PROBLEM: My controller will not power on.
  • SOLUTION: Confirm the controller is fully charged. Plug in to recharge as needed.
  • PROBLEM: My controller is not connecting to my 2.4 GHz wireless adapter.
  • SOLUTION: Press and hold the SYNC button on top of controller for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode (LED ring will flash rapidly). Ensure the 2.4GHz wireless adapter is plugged into your console or PC USB port. Press and hold the SYNC button on the top of the wireless adapter. The LEDs on controller and adapter should each flash several times and then when successfully paired stay solid WHITE.
  • PROBLEM: My wireless controller is not pairing.
  • SOLUTION 1: Confirm the battery is charged by following the charging instructions listed above.
  • SOLUTION 2: Confirm you are following the Wireless pairing process.
  • SOLUTION 3: Insert paper clip into the Reset Hole as marked above to reset controller to factory settings. After resetting, follow the pairing to wireless adapter instructions listed above.
