PLAN YOUR WATER LOOP AND ADJUST THE INLET AND OUTLET PORT ACCORDINGLY.

PRO TIP PH-GEF_GPU4090AS is equipped with multiple ports to allow for more flexibility. Please plan your water loop before proceeding with installation.

APPLYING THERMAL PASTE & PADS

PRO TIP Clean off the thermal compound and use isopropanol. Place thermal pads correctly and apply thermal compound to the GPU center.

WARNING Make sure to remove the protective film on both sides of the thermal pads.

MOUNT THE WATER BLOCK

  1. SECURE THE SUPPORT BRACKET TO THE GPU BLOCKPHANTEKS-G40-ASUS-GPU-Block-fig- (9)
    • Carefully position the water block onto the graphics card. Align the mounting holes on the PCB with the holes on the water block.
  2. SECURE THE WATER BLOCKPHANTEKS-G40-ASUS-GPU-Block-fig- (10)
    • Secure the Support Bracket with the original cooler screw.

APPLYING THERMAL PADS

Remove the protective film on both sides and place the thermal pads in the correct position on the backplate.

INSTALLATION

INSTALL THE BACKPLATE

  1. SECURE THE 8X M2.5X8MMPHANTEKS-G40-ASUS-GPU-Block-fig- (12)
  2. SECURE THE 2X M2.5X6MMPHANTEKS-G40-ASUS-GPU-Block-fig- (13)
    • Carefully position the backplate onto the graphics card. Align the mounting holes on the PCB with the holes on the backplate.

INSTALL INTO THE SYSTEM

      • Connect to Phanteks Case PHANTEKS-G40-ASUS-GPU-Block-fig- (16)
      • WARNING Always perform a leak test before providing power to any system components.
  2. INSTALL THE GPU INTO THE SYSTEM
  3. INSTALL THE WATERLOOP

      • Make sure to cut perpendicular to the tubing as shown.
    • Soft Tube Installation
      1. Install Insert

    • Press down on the ring and remove the tube.

WARNING: CHECK FOR LEAKS BEFORE TURNING ON THE SYSTEM

  5. Take extra caution when handeling/removing/reattaching glass components. Once removed, place the glass component on a stable surface first before proceeding.
  6. When unplugging any connected devices and/or cables, always pull the cable or device’s plug or connector. Don’t forcefully tug on its cord.
  7. Don’t place any heavy items on top of the product.
  8. Make sure that the desktop PC is off, unplugged from the outlet, and that all connected devices are powered off and unplugged (if any) before installing or uninstalling any internal component to and/or from the desktop PC or product.
