Via Serial and TCP/IP

Purpose:
Integration to the Control4 solution

Requirements:

Control4 system running version 2.10 or higher.
We cannot guarantee operation on all Optoma models and firmware, so please test in Trial mode

Setup for serial connection:
Attention, the driver only operates with serial parameters in 9600, none, 1, none
There is no way to make this adjustment changeable in the driver, so keep your projector with these values

Setup for network connection:

Adjustment in the Projector Menu:

  • Menu – Setup – Power Settings – Power Mode (SatandBy) – Active
  • Menu – Control – Telnet On

Adjustment in the driver: 

Enter the projector’s IP in the “IP” property of the driver
Make sure that the IP is fixed in the projector or is reserved in the router

Driver properties:

    On | Off
    Used for activity tracking, typically by the developer

  • Projector ID
    Optional, enter the projector ID. It will always work with zero ID on the driver, even if it has another ID on the projector. You don’t need to change this field
  • Power On Delay-Milliseconds
    Time in milliseconds that it takes the dashboard to turn on. Default 4000 (4 seconds)
  • Command Delay-Milliseconds
    Interval in ms between commands
  • Last Server Version
    Latest version for download

Latest Version Information

  • IP
    Enter the IP of your projector. Make sure the IP is fixed on the projector or  reserved on the router
  • TCP Port
    Port for network control. Default: 23
  • IP Conn Status
    Displays the status of the IP connection if used
  • Connection
    Connection type. Change to IP
    Send HEXA
    Field for sending codes for tests.
    Allows sending commands in hexadecimal, examples:
    7E 30 30 31 34 30 20 32 30 0d
    or
    7E30303134302032300d
    Note that every command must end in “0d”

POWER STATE

Displays the state of the projector, with zero off and other values, on Format:

State | Date of reading:
1 | 2025-06-20 15:43:39

LAMP USED HOURS

  • Projector lamp usage reading
  • Format: Hours | reading date:
  • 12 | 2025-06-20 15:43:39
  • Valid readings are updated only with the projector on

Programming

Send Complete Command
Allows you to send commands in hexadecimal, example: 7E 30 30 31 34 30 20 32 30 0d  or  7E30303134302032300d
Note that every command must end in “0d”

Note that some commands cannot work on some models
