CONNECTING TO THE APPLICATION

  1. Download the app by scanning the QR code with your mobile phone or search for „Niceboy ION” in the mobile app store and download the app. Please make sure your mobile phone is connected to Wi-Fi before using this application.
  2. Open the “Niceboy ION” app and create a new account or use an existing one.
  3. After setting the password, go to the next step „Add device” using the,+” in the upper right corner of the home screen.
  4. Click on „Cameras”.
  5. Click on „ION Guardian N2″
  6. The device will automatically turn on when connected to the outlet.
  7. After the initial tone sounds, long press the RESET button (button on the cable) for more than 5 s until a beep is heard.
  8. Confirm the beep and click NEXT to connect to the network.
  9. In the application, enter the Wi-Fi network name, enter the Wi-Fi password and click the NEXT button according to the instructions (note: the camera can be connected via a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network).
  10. A QR code for connecting the camera will appear on the phone screen. Scan the QR code from the phone screen with the camera from a distance of 15-20 cm.
  11. Subsequently, the device is added to the list of devices. The device can be renamed before finishing

Connecting the device to the Wi-Fi network may take several tens of seconds depending on the signal strength.
After the device is successfully connected, the control interface will be displayed. This camera can also be connected using an Ethernet cable.
Wi-Fi reset: If the connection timeout or before connecting another mobile phone, please turn on the camera first, and within 10 seconds of connection, long press the RESET button for 5 seconds until you hear a beep, this will remove the existing phone from the application and the camera can be connect to the Wi-Fi network using another phone. Then follow the instructions above.
The application serves as a control environment for the ION Guardian N2 camera. Setting the functions and displaying the image from the camera is done via the Niceboy ION Application.
Install both antennas for the camera to work properly.

FUNCTION

Two-way communication – The camera is equipped with a speaker and a microphone.
Event recording – The camera can record continuous footage to a memory card. Events recorded by the PIR sensor are highlighted in the application if it is turned on. With the help of the application, the recording can be saved in real time directly to the phone. (Charges may apply using mobile data).
Motion detection – When movement is detected in the sector in front of the camera, a notification will be displayed on the mobile phone (for this function, notifications must be enabled in the phone settings).
Motion Tracking – A feature following motion detection. When this function is turned on, the camera follows a moving object in the room.
Night vision – night vision up to 10 meters.
Pan/tilt – camera rotation 355° horizontally and 90° vertically.
Private mode – The camera turns off. (Note: After turning on Private Mode, the camera lens is hidden in the camera body to increase privacy).

FAQS

Q: Can't connect device to app?

Solution: Make sure the mobile phone is connected to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, the network name and password are entered correctly and the signal is sufficient. Then try to connect the device again. If the device still fails to connect, try restarting the camera and connecting again.

Q: Why aren't notifications from the phone's camera showing?

Solution: Make sure notifications are enabled on your mobile phone.

Q: Why is the device still listed after resetting the camera?

Solution: Resetting the device only resets the camera and its network settings. To remove the device from the app, delete the camera directly in the app.

Q: How to connect the camera to another router?

Solution: First, you need to remove the device from the application and then reconfigure it according to the instructions above.

Q: Why can't the device recognize the memory card?

Solution: The memory card needs to be formatted FAT32, exFAT file system before insertion and inserted into the camera when the camera is turned off.
