Introduction:

This’s the manual for guiding user how to stop syncing the SharePoint folder on OneDrive.

CAUTION: Please don’t directly delete any folder/ file from the synced folder, the action will reflect on SharePoint under synchronized

Stop sync the SharePoint folder

1.) Find the OneDrive icon which located at bottom taskbar

2.) Right click the OneDrive icon, then below sync status menu will show up.

2.1) Click the gear icon at top of right-hand side to expand setting →click “Settings”

3.) Microsoft OneDrive setting will show up

3.1) Navigate to the page “Account”
3.2) You can then see the SharePoint folder location(s) which you are syncing
3.3) Click “Stop sync” then the SharePoint folder will no longer synchronize on your computer.

3.4) Right click to delete the SharePoint folder in File Explorer once it’s non-synced.

Reminder: Before delete any SharePoint folder/ files on File Explorer, please make sure the folder is already non-synced (Status must be Blank as the RED rectangle in below screen capture, no sync status icon if stop sync is succeed)
