Kaptia Klever External Radio Module
Introduction
Increasingly, garage remote control manufacturers are opting to use in their models different types of communication between the remote control and the receiver than the usual ones. In general, amplitude modulation (OOK) is used, although currently more and more manufacturers use FSK or similar modulations.
The external radio module allows the capture of signals with these characteristics.
This module is compatible with the Kaptia Klever system.
Operation
If when trying to analyze or identify a command with Klever and a command with different modulation than usual is detected, the application itself will tell you to connect this module.
To use this module, it must be connected to the micro USB cable of the Kaptia Klever duplicator.
The app will guide you through all the steps to complete the entire process.
As a general rule, the steps to follow are the following:
- Analyze or identify a command using the Klever system
- If a command with modulation other than AM (OOK) is detected, it will be indicated by a message.
- Connect the external radio module to the Klever device
- Follow the steps indicated by the Klever application
If the user has prior knowledge that the command to be analyzed uses the FSK type
Modulations, steps 1 and 2 of this section, can be skipped.
Compatibility with original controls
As each original remote control emits with its own frequency and modulation parameters, the compatibilities of this module will be updated periodically based on the compatibility list.
Technical characteristics
- Supported frequencies:s Band 433 and 868 MHz
- Modulations OOK, FSK, GFSK
- Compatible system Kaptia Klever
- Updatable No
Important: The Klever interface connector should only be used for communication with the Klever device. Using this connector for any other purpose may damage the device.
