Product Usage Instructions
1. Mounting the Bracket on a Flag Buoy
For optimal signal range:
- Install the bracket so that the Tracker is as high as possible
above the water but below the flags. - Antenna height is limited to 1 meter above the waterline
(measured from top of bracket to waterline). - Avoid using aluminum pole for better range.
2. Placing the Tracker in the Bracket
Steps:
- Place the Tracker in the bracket.
- Rotate to lock it in place.
- Use the locking pin for additional security.
3. Activation
To activate the Tracker:
- Push the switch upwards.
- The indicator light will show different colors indicating
battery capacity, Bluetooth status, and activity.
4. App Installation
Download the Jotron TronTracker mobile app from App Store or
Google Play for further setup and control.
5. First Time Setup of the Tracker
To connect and set up the Tracker:
- Activate Bluetooth on the Tracker.
- Register your vessel in the app and add the Tracker to your
vessel.
6. Setting Preferences
Use the app to set preferences for the Tracker after connecting
via Bluetooth.
7. Charging
To charge the Tracker:
- Use the BC10 Dual Charger for simultaneous charging of two
Trackers. - Place the Tracker in the charger and lock it in place.
- Monitor charging status through indicator lights on the
Tracker.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: What do I do if the Tracker does not connect to the
app?
A: Make sure Bluetooth is activated, and try reconnecting by
selecting the Tracker from the list under your vessel in the app
and tapping ‘Connect’.
Q: How do I know if the Tracker is fully charged?
A: The indicator light on the Tracker will show a solid green
light when it is fully charged.
Q: What should I do if I need to use the high power
setting?
A: Ensure compliance with local regulations as high power

1 Mounting the bracket on a flag buoy
For optimal signal range, install the bracket so that the Tracker is as high as possible above the water, but still below the flags.
Note: According to regulatory requirements, the allowed antenna height is limited to 1 meter above the waterline. The antenna height is measured from the top of the bracket to the waterline.
Using an aluminum pole will significantly reduce the range.

Before mounting the bracket on the pole, drill 2 holes with a diameter of 6 mm in the pole. The bracket can be used as a drilling template.

5 First time setup of the Tracker
To connect to the Tracker, first activate Bluetooth. This is done by either placing it into the charger or by turning the Tracker on. (Bluetooth remains active for the first minute after turning it on).
In the TronTracker app, first register your vessel. See the RA10 Quick Start Manual for details. Then select your Tracker from the list of discovered devices and tap `Add to Vessel’.
6 Setting preferences
The Jotron TronTracker app can also be used to set several preferences. For more information, please refer to the app.
To connect to the Tracker, first activate Bluetooth, then select it from the list under your vessel and tap `Connect’.
7 Charging
The BC10 Dual Charger can charge two Trackers simultaneously. Place the Tracker in the charger and rotate to lock it.
While charging, the indicator on the Tracker will show the charging status.
A red light indicates that the Tracker is not charging. This typically occurs if the battery temperature is outside the charging range of +5°C to +40°C.
The first time you connect to the Tracker you’ll be prompted to enter a PIN code. This code is unique to each device and can be found on a label on the back side of the Tracker and on the front page of this manual.
The Tracker has two different transmission power settings: – Low power – Compliant with ITU AMRD-B
specifications – High power – Exceeds AMRD-B limitations but
offers extended range
Use of the high power setting may not comply with local regulations. Users are responsible for ensuring legal use in their region. Jotron AS accepts no liability for unauthorized use.
