Unshielded Cable Installation
- Carefully strip away approximately 30 mm of each cable jacket to be connected to the Box, separating the wires into four pairs.
- Referring to the pin table above, position the ends of each wire pair in the slot corresponding to the wire color.
- Use either a 110 or a Krone punch-down tool to secure each pair of wires in place on the jack.
- Replace the IDC cap on the jack to secure the wires in place. Use the cable tie to secure the cable and complete the installation.
Shielded Cable Installation
- Slide the cable jacket into the cable holder.
- Referring to the pin table above, position the ends of each wire pair in the slot corresponding to the wire color.
- Use either a 110 or a Krone punchdown tool to secure each pair of wires in place on the jack.
- Replace the IDC cap on the jack to secure the wires in place. Use a cable tie to secure the cable and complete the installation.
- Cover the jack with the main shield to complete the installation.
NOTE: Be sure that the main metal shield slips behind the two plastic tabs on the jack.
