HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SPRAY TIP

• STEP 1: FIND YOUR
  PAINT OR STAIN AND THEN CHOOSE TIP SIZE
  Helpful Hint
  Speed Advice: 
  • Use smaller tip sizes when applying thinner materials such as stains and enamels.
  • Use larger sizes for thicker materials such as exterior, latex and oil-based paints.
  • This guide does not apply to TrueCoat 360 sprayers.
• STEP 2: MATCH TIP SIZE TO FAN WIDTH TO FIND SPRAY TIP
  Helpful Hint
  Tip Number Calculation:
  The first digit is half of the fan width (#5 x 2 = 10 in. fan width).
  The last two digits are the size of the tip opening in thousandths of an inch.
  • This guide does not apply to TrueCoat 360 sprayers.
• STEP 3: CONFIRM SELECTED TIP
  IS SUPPORTED BY SPRAYER 
  Helpful Hint
  Sprayer Specifications: 
  • 515 tip is included with each sprayer.
  • A sprayer can support all smaller tips up to its maximum tip rating.
  •  515 tip is sized to spray paint – stain may need a smaller tip (see Step 1).
