FIDLOCK TWIST Cycle Essential Bag Instruction Manual
Please read these usage instructions thoroughly before installation and first use, and retain them for future reference.
SAFETY INFORMATION
TWIST is a magnetic-mechanical mounting system consisting of a base (fi g. A) and a connector (fi g. B). The TWIST toolbox and the TWIST bike base can only be used in conjunction with genuine TWIST products provided for this purpose. The mechanical locking will not work otherwise.
Attention: Not suitable for Downhill (with speeds above 60km/h)!
The TWIST toolbox and the TWIST bike base are not dishwasher or washing machine safe. To clean only use clear water._Toolbox Check before every use that the bottle is correctly locked in place and the TWIST bike base is free from dirt. If a defect of any kind should become evident, stop using the product immediately and contact your FIDLOCK dealer!
For a secure hold, the weight of the bag and its contents must not exceed 500 g.
Please use additional protection for any items in the bag in wetter conditions. Water resistance cannot be guaranteed.

INSTALLATION
The TWIST bike base is installed using the bottle cage braze-ons provided by the manufacturer on the down tube or the seat tube of the bicycle frame (fi g. E).
Please make sure that the arrows and the marking “up” are pointing upwards after assembly. On the TWIST toolbox the FIDLOCK logo must be facing upwards, be legible and shouldn’t be upside down (fi g C).
For the TWIST bike base to be securely fi xed to the frame a bolting torque of 2 Newton meters (Nm) is needed.
Note: Only use the screws included in the scope of delivery! Screws with a higher head can lead to the TWIST toolbox not connecting to the bike base securely and could come loose during the ride (fi g F).
If you are uncertain during the assembly please ask your retailer for assistance!
USAGE
Please familiarize yourself with the TWIST toolbox and the TWIST bike base before you fi rst use it and check the function. Also make sure that the assembly has been carried out according to the specifi cations.
To attach the TWIST toolbox to the TWIST bike base simply bring the TWIST toolbox close to the TWIST bike base. The magnetic force will pull the TWIST toolbox in and both parts will lock mechanically (fi g G), you will hear the “click” and know that it has been successfully connected.
To remove the TWIST toolbox from the TWIST bike base simply twist clockwise until the mechanical locking has disengaged (fi g H).
INTENDED USE
The TWIST toolbox and the TWIST bike base are intended for installation and use on the bottle cage braze-ons provided by the manufacturer of the bicycle frame.
The total weight of the bag contents must not exceed 500 g.
Any deviation from this intended use is considered abnormal handling and is prohibited as it can lead to malfunction, damages or injuries.
DISPOSAL
The TWIST toolbox and the TWIST bike base can be disposed of with household waste. Please observe the relevant environmental regulations regarding waste disposal in your country.
