Product Usage Instructions
Pairing the Remote
To pair the remote with your smartphone, follow these steps:
- Turn the On/Off Switch on the Bluetooth Remote to the “On” position.
- Turn on your smartphone’s Bluetooth function. When you see AB Shutter3 in your list of Bluetooth devices, pair your phone to that device.
- Once paired, open up the camera feature of your smartphone.
- Attach your phone to the mount. The smartphone mount can accept phones up to 3.5″wide.
- To take a picture,press the Shutter Release button. For Apple (iPhones), press the iOS button. For Android phones, press the Android button.
Note: Some Android users may notice the camera zooming when the Shutter Button on the remote is pressed. If this occurs, please go into your smartphone’s camera settings and change the “Volume Key” setting to “Camera”. Please refer to your smartphone manual for assistance in changing this setting.
Note: You cannot pair more than one remote at the same time.
Note: Only one remote can be paired at a time.
Using the Shutter Button
The Apple and Android Shutter Buttons on the remote can be used to capture photos or start/stop video recording on your smartphone camera app.
Zooming Function
Pressing the Shutter Button on the remote may trigger zooming on your smartphone’s camera. To prevent this, adjust the Volume Key setting in your camera app to Camera. Consult your smartphone manual for detailed instructions on changing this setting.
Battery Replacement
If the remote stops working, replace the CR 2032 battery with a new one. Open the battery compartment and insert the new battery following the correct polarity.

- Q: The remote is not pairing with my smartphone, what should I do?
