Touch Up Paint

Depending upon location, Cedral should not require re-painting, however, if it is decided to either change the Cedralcolorr or repaint, please contact the technical department for advice on 01283 501505. When Cedral planks are painted in the factory, they go through many processes. The final paint coating is applied to warm planks to make ithemdurable. They durable the board with a slight sheen and cannot be replicated without-up paint on site. This is why the touch-up paint is designed for cut edges and scratches only, it needs to be applied sparingly, using a small/fine artist brush to cut edges and scratches. Any overspill to the front face should be removed immediately using a clean dry cloth.

Maintenance

Periodic inspections of the cladding should be carried out to determine if cleaning is required. Cedral facades in more severe exposures such as coastal locations, areas with high vegetation, etc will need inspections and cleaning more often than other Cedral facades. For minor soiling and general cleaning, we’d advise using warm water using a mild detergent. Use a clean microfibre cloth, nothing like a scourer or steel wool as this could damage the planks. Rinse with clean water and allow the planks to air dry. Ensure that no debris such as leaves or soil builds up at the base of the facade and that no plants or vegetation grow at the base of the facade, to ensure the ventilation for the facade is not blocked.
