FAQs
Yes. In fact, there are 4 wake word options you have available. Settings will need to be changed by using the Alexa app
Can you plug a USB hub/splitter into the USB port so you could add both the nightlight and the motion sensor? did anyone try this?
I do not think that will work unless you can turn off the light sensor in the Flex. The lights activate when it’s dark or you command it to. It also changes the brightness and colors.
The flex is an Alexa in its own right, only without a big speaker and just plugs into a socket. Mine co=exists quite happily with a 2nd gen dot.
No, however you could use the Alexa app (or Amazon Music or other services) on your mobile phone & connect to an outdoor suitable battery-powered portable speaker via Bluetooth & cast music etc to it. Waterproof wired outdoor Bluetooth speakers aren’t cheap but with a battery version, you have the flexibility to bring them back indoors.
Will this work with the Sonos One smart speaker with Alexa installed?
I have a Sonos one smart speaker and it all appears to work well together.
Does plugging in a 3.5mm jack cut off/disable the built in speaker? I.e. will i be able to hear alexa responses if amp not on?
My understanding is that once the 3.5mm jack is plugged in the device now relies on the external speaker or amplifier. This device needs to be active ie switched on to hear Alexa replies.

Hi Would this work on ps4 to turn on and off
No one would need a smart plug, however, please don’t, devices such as the PS4, TVs, and computers should never be connected to smart plugs, The power supply could be damaged and like computers they have a shutdown sequence which uses a smart plug prevents which can corrupt and damage,
