Frequently Asked Question

  • Question: What is the tallest comfortable height this stand can get, measured from floor to clip?
Answer: Well, I just measured it and….with the stand fully extended and the boom vertical (parallel to the stand shaft) and also fully raised, the mic clip is just over 7 feet above the floor. Whether that is comfortable or not really depends on how heavy the mic or whatever you’re going to put up there is.
  • Question: What size is the thread?
Answer: I just want to clear things up, this is a 5/8 thread, I know it’s confusing when it says “3/8-5/8 adapter” but What they are saying is that you can get a male 3/8 – female 5/8 adapter thereby reducing the thread size
  • Question: Does It work with a shure sm7b? I bought a desk mic stand but the weight of the microphone pulls it down.
Answer: It should work with any mic. I have a blue baby bottle mic I use with it. It can with an adapter so it should help
  • Question: can I use it with MXL 990??
Answer: Yes. Your MXL 990 Should have come with a mic clip. You can screw that onto the mic stand or you could get a shock mount that is suzed for your microphone and screw that onto the mic stand to help isolate the mic from vibrations transmitted through the stand.
  • Question: How tall is it with the boom fully up but parallel to the ground?
Answer: if you were to extend the boom fully, while it’s parallel to the ground, the stand would tip over, unless you were to weigh down the legs somehow/
  • Question: So I ordered the stage rocker mic clip but it doesn’t attach to the boom because it doesn’t have a screw part so what adapter do I buy for it to work?
Answer: Your stage rocker clip should have a female threaded socket that you can screw onto the end of the boom of this microphone stand. Perhaps your clip is missing the threaded socket.
  • Question: Does it work with PreSonus m7 mic?
Answer: I’m not sure if but it should be compatible with any mic.
  • Question: Would this hold a akg p220 with shock mount and pop filter?
    Answer: Yes
  • Question: Can you suggest a microphone clip holder that works with this? this? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/b00nl2xsd0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=utf
Answer: Any microphone clip holder will work with this stand
  • Question: Has anyone used this to connect to a rode polemic?
Answer: It’s a mic stand. I use them for cordless mics which are heavier than most, so should be good for any type of mic.
  • Question: Is there just the boom arm alone for sale?
Answer: You can probably find one online try googling it.
  • Question: Does this fit a. Blue baby bottle mic?
    Answer: Yes
