GENERAL DESCRIPTION
CS85 is a condenser recording microphone. It adopts 34mm large gold diaphragm capsule makes the sound warmth, clarity and natural. It features with three switches, polar patlern switch, low-cut switch and attenuator switch to filting for various occasions to reach an ideal recording angle. The shell uses aluminum and NO.304 metal mesh, smooth and comfort. lts shock mount prevents microphone drap off and reduce trill during recording.

A: Polar pattern swilch (three level) changes the polar pattern to Cardioid, Omni and Figure-8. · Figure-8: pickup the sound from front and beside side, lefl and right side can nearly pickup the sound. · Cardioid: When this pattern is selected, the microphone picks up sounds directly in front of the microphone and is leas! sensitivity to !hose in back. This is the most commonly used pattern in studio recording and live-sound applications. · Omn i: Picks up sounds from all directions. This pattern is best for picking up room ambience and for miking several sources, such as an ensemble or multiple singers, simultaneously. The Omni polar pattern exhibits no proximity effect.
B: The low frequency roll off may be used for voice or medium- to high-range instruments. It reduces floor rumble and low-frequency room noise from heating and air conditioning systems. Also used to compensate for proximity effect or to reduce low frequencies thai make an instrument sound dull or muddy.
C: The pad switch helps prevent distortion from extremely laud sources, such as when close-miking horns or drums.
