Product Usage Instructions

Pairing Instructions

  1. Step 1: Access iPad/iPhone Settings >
    Bluetooth menu. Ensure Bluetooth is turned on.
  2. Step 2: Access LE5 Breathalyser Setup Menu by
    pressing the & V buttons together on the idle screen for 4
    seconds. Enter code 00005000.
  3. Step 3: Navigate to Bluetooth Comms menu >
    Enable Bluetooth if not already. Select `Serial’ option, and set
    `Auto Send Standard’ and `Auto Send Passive’ options to `All’ if
    needed.
  4. Step 4: Select the `Pairing’ option. Do not
    choose a device from the screen; pairing will be done from the
    App.
  5. Step 5: Open the App, go to Settings >
    Pairing > Scan. Select the LE5 serial number, enter the pin
    displayed on the LE5, and select Pair. The LE5 will display
    Paired.
  6. Step 6: Select the device, enter Exp/Cal date,
    and navigate back to the dashboard to begin testing.

Testing Instructions

  1. Step 1: Select the appropriate `Site’ from the
    dashboard.
  2. Step 2: Select `Add Test’ and complete all
    donor information.
  3. Step 3: Tap Donor Signature section, select
    test type, donor medication, and have the donor sign the
    Agreement.
  4. Step 4: Complete the alcohol screening using
    the LE5 Breathalyser after entering donor information.
  5. Step 5: The result will transfer to the app
    and populate the results screen.
  6. Step 6: Have the donor sign the Declaration
    form followed by the Collector signing the Certification form.
  7. Step 7: Complete multiple tests if needed, and
    once done, sign the Summary form.
  8. Step 8: Sync data by selecting ‘Sync’ on top
    of the screen with an internet connection to access results and
    reports on AlcoCONNECT platform.

  1. Step 1: Select `Quick Test Mode’ from the
    Dashboard screen.

Result Failed to Send?

Possible causes of error:

  • Paired to incorrect tablet/phone
  • Lost connection – Requires repairing
  • Devices are not paired
  • Error Message (e.g. stale bonding)

To re-establish connection between devices:

  1. Select Settings > Bluetooth on iPad/iPhone. Choose ‘Forget
    This Device’ next to LE5 serial number.
  2. In LE5, follow step 2 above to enter Setup menu. Select BT
    Comms menu > Serial > Forget This Device.

Pairing Instructions
Step 1
Access the iPad/iPhone Settings > Bluetooth menu. Ensure BT is on.

Open the App, navigate to Settings > Pairing > Scan The App will search for the LE5 serial number. When it is displayed, select “Pair”. The iPad/iPhone will request the pairing pin. Enter the pin displayed on the LE5. Select Pair. The LE5 will display “Paired”.

Navigate to the Setup page by selecting the `Back’ option. Select the device and enter the Exp/Cal date. Select `Back’ once more to navigate to the dashboard to begin testing.

Troubleshooting Quick Guide

Follow the steps below to re-establish a fresh connection between devices.

Step 1
On the iPad/iPhone, select Settings > Bluetooth. Select the icon next to the LE5 serial number and select `Forget This Device’.

Step 2
On the LE5, follow step 2 above to enter the `Setup’ menu. Select BT Comms menu > Serial > Forget This Device. The message “No device paired” will display.

Step 3
Follow steps 1 ­ 6 of the Pairing Instructions (see left hand side) to re-establish a connection between devices. Scan this code for Video assistance.

Testing instructions
Step 1
Select the appropriate `Site’ from the dashboard, listed in white boxes with the Site name.

Step 2
Select `Add Test’ on the top left. Complete all the donor information. All fields are required.

Step 3
Tap the Donor Signature section to select test type and donor medication if any. Donor must sign the Agreement.

Step 4
Select Alcohol Test once donor information has been completed.
Complete the alcohol screening using the LE5 Breathalyser.

Step 5
The result will transfer to the app and populate the results screen.

Step 6
The donor must sign the Declaration form.

The Certification form will then pop up for the Collector to sign.

Step 7
The app will now display the Site section again and the test listed as completed in green. Follow the above steps if completing more than one test.

Step 8
Once the testing session is complete, sign the Summary form. Both signatures are required. After signing, select `back’ on the top left of the form.
Step 9
Select `Sync’ on the top of the screen. Ensure you have an internet connection. Access the AlcoCONNECT platform to view results and reports.
