01 Customised Backup Power Solutions
Rely on Fronius for backup power. Our portfolio offers the right solution for every household, whether for single-phase or three-phase supply, a single socket or the entire house, with automatic or manual switching, including or excluding energy storage. A customised system meets all customer requirements.
02 Everything from a Single Source
For energy security, Fronius customers rely on perfectly matched backup power components. From the inverter with integrated PV Point to the separate PV Point Comfort and switching components, everything is supplied from a single source with European brand quality.
03 Black Start Capable
Fronius backup power components enable PV systems to start up independently during a prolonged power failure. They can supply loads and charge the battery as long as PV energy is available, even without grid power.
04 Space-Saving Installation
The Fronius Backup Controller eliminates the need for external switching boxes. Manual and automatic switching components are installed directly in switchboards, saving cables and space.
05 Supply of the Entire Household*
Full Backup functions from Fronius enable backup power for all household consumers, maximizing energy utilization through simultaneous charging of the energy storage system.
*If load in the household is less than PV production/discharge capacity of the storage system.
06 Three-Phase Current
Fronius is ideal for power-intensive loads. The Fronius Symo GEN24 Plus 6.0 - 12.0 generates genuine three-phase alternating current for maximum performance, even in backup power mode.
Configuration Scheme
The diagram illustrates the system configuration. Solar panels connect to the Fronius GEN24 Plus inverter. The inverter communicates with the Fronius Backup Controller (Version 2 Full Backup) via Modbus RTU/RS485/TCP and a 12V connection. A PV Point (Version 1) also connects to the inverter. The Fronius Smart Meter is connected to the grid, which also supplies the Backup Controller. A television symbol indicates household loads.
PV Point:
- Integrated backup power function
- Supplied socket in the event of a power outage
- 1-phase up to 3 kW continuous power
- Optional battery storage
