INSTALLATION GUIDES
ENSURE THE SIRIUS ADJUSTABLE BED AND ALL SLEEPTITE ACCESSORIES ARE INSTALLED AS PER THE FOLLOWING INSTALLATION GUIDES
SIRIUS BED INSTALLATION GUIDE
Step 1: Place the SIRIUS box in the room where the bed will be set up with the Sleeptite logo face up.
Step 2: Remove the plastic bands securing the box in place, cut the tape surrounding the top lid of the box and remove the lid of the box.
Step 3: Cut open plastic wrapping, making sure not to cut into the frame of the bed and remove all cardboard fillers and disguard. Carefully cut all the yellow cable ties.
Step 4: Remove the mattress retainer bar and remote and place to the side. Install supplied batteries into the remote.

Step 5: *OPTIONAL – If you wish to enable short term use of the bed during power failure follow this step*
Remove both cables from the power transformer box.
Remove the screws securing the transformer box and turn it over. Slide off the battery compartment cover & insert 2 x 9V batteries (not supplied) inside. Refit the battery compartment cover.
Refit the transformer box and plug in cords. At this point the bed will enter pairing mode (as indicated by the flashing LEDs). Hold the PAIR button on your remote until flashing stops (approx 5 seconds).
Note: If 2 x 9V batteries are NOT installed pairing is only possible when the bed is plugged into power supply (see step 12).
Step 7: Carefully lift the bed up onto it’s side and remove the bottom part of the box.
Step 8: Ensure the power cable is free and clear of any bars or mechanisms and is not going to be trapped under the bed. Carefully lower the bed onto the floor so the mattress surface is now facing up.
Step 11: Slide the mattress retainer into the slots at the end of the base and secure with c-clip
Step 12: Plug the bed into the wall socket. If not already paired, hold the PAIR button on your remote until LED lights under the bed stop flashing.
FOOTBOARD INSTALLATION GUIDE

Step 1: Raise bed height and footrest to maximum height for ease of access when installing

Step 2: Locate threaded mounting holes on Sirius Footboard (2 per side). Put the longest screw (12cm) alongside the top holes and the shorter screw (10cm) alongside the bottom holes
Step 3: Locate mounting holes on Sirius Base for screw insertion (2 per side at foot end of the bed)
Step 4: Note this step is easier to complete with two people.
Hold the footboard on the outside of the frame with the holes on the footboard lining up with the holes on the Sirius frame.
Insert the longer screws through the top holes on the frame and screw them into the top holes on the footboard
HEADBOARD INSTALLATION GUIDE

Step 1: Raise bed height and knee break to maximum height for ease of access when installing

Step 2: Locate threaded mounting holes on Sirius Headboard (2 per side). Put the longest screw (13.5cm) alongside the top holes and the shorter screw (12cm) alongside the bottom holes

Step 3: Locate mounting holes on Sirius Base for screw insertion (2 per side at head end of the bed)
Step 4: Note this step is easier to complete with two people.
Hold the headboard on the outside of the frame with the holes on the headboard lining up with the holes on the Sirius frame.
Insert the longer screws through the top holes on the frame and screw them into the top holes on the headboard
BEDSTICK WITH RETURN INSTALLATION GUIDE

Kit Contains: Bed Stick, Stabalisation plate (King Single – large OR Long Single – small), 2 x black stand off spacers, 2 x Button Head Cap Screws, 2 x Nyloc Nut, 4 x Flat Washer, 1 x Raised Countersink Screw
Tools required: 19mm spanner, 8mm allen key, 4mm allen key, 13mm socket wrench
Step 1: Ensure there is no mattress or occupant on the SIRIUS bed. Raise bed height to a comfortable height for ease of access when installing.
Step 2: Remove the fabric button covers from the side of the SIRIUS base you wish to install the bed stick.

Step 3: Use a socket wrench to remove the 4 bolts from under the bed surrounding either the power supply unit or the control box (depending on installation side) – do not discard the bolts.

Step 4: Attach the Stabalisation plate to the bed stick using the raised countersunk screw through the hole in the handle. The Stabalisation plate needs to be installed so the bolt hole (circled) is angled towards the head of the bed frame. Ensure the screw is still quite loose to enable the plate to slide into the correct position.
Step 5: Lift up bed stick in line with the pre drilled holes on the bed frame (where you took the fabric buttons out).
Step 6: Lift the top section of the base to create a gap and slide the stabilisation plate through the gap.

Step 7: Put the flat washer on the button cap screw, push the screw through the hole on foot end of the bed stick. Insert the black spacer onto the other side and push into the open hole on the base. Place the washer and nut on the side of the button head screw that is on the inside of the bed. Repeat on head end – hand tighten only at this point.
Step 8: Line up the top hole on the stabalisation plate with outer hole at the bedhead end of the control box or power supply unit. If the hole on the stabalisation plate does not align with the hole on the bed base, loosen the countersunk screw on the bed handle to enable more movement.
Step 9: Re-install the 4 bolts previously removed from the control box or power supply unit, starting with the bolt that goes through the stabilisation plate. Do not fully tighten yet.

Step 10: Tighten both the button head bolts (on the outer beam) using both the 8mm allen key and 19mm spanner.
Step 11: Tighten the bolts around the control box or power supply unit.

Step 12: Tighten the screw placed through the handle of the bed stick with 4mm allen key (do not overtighten).

GENERAL INFORMATION
CAUTIONS
Please read the contents of this instruction manual carefully prior to using the Sleeptite Sirius Bed (“the bed”).
In the event the bed changes owners, please supply this instruction manual to the new owner.
When the bed is moved on the transport frame take care not to allow it to tip over. Please check all fixings on your bed at least once per month. Pay special attention to sleeping platform bolts.
Before cleaning and disinfection, the mains plug must be disconnected and hung safely. Plugs for the handset and the motors which are inserted into the mattress base control box and the motor unit must remain plugged in. This is necessary to prevent water ingress to the control box. If manually turning the power off please ensure the bed is in Castor position before doing so – this will help ensure the control box re-calibrates correctly upon turning power back on. If power unexpectedly turns off when bed is in Chair or Reverse Trendelenburg position ensure you take the bed to full height before returning it to Caster position to ensure correct control box recalibration occurs once the power has been reinstated.
Do not sit on the leg section of the bed when operating the raise function. Ensure the recommended service and maintenance schedule in this manual is completed. Failure to do so may void warranty claims.
