    Question

Where is the MENU key on the SINOTIMER TM-920 module?

    Answer

Based on the SINOTIMER TM-920 user manual, the MENU key is the button located on the far left of the device's control panel, marked with the word MENU. It is used to cycle through settings such as the clock, function modes, and programming screens.

If your specific module does not have a button labeled "MENU," please check the following:

    • Button Layout: On this model, the buttons are typically arranged from left to right as: MENU, Minus (-), Plus (+), and OK. The leftmost button performs the menu functions described in the instructions.
    • Model Verification: Ensure your device is a TM-920. Some similar Sinotimer models (like the TM618) use a "P" (Program) or "C/R" button instead of a dedicated Menu key.
    • Reset: If the buttons are unresponsive, the manual suggests pressing the Res (Reset) button to clear the memory before attempting to navigate the menu.

If the physical button is missing entirely from the hardware, it may be a manufacturing defect or a different hardware revision.

Note: To exit any setting screen and save your progress, you can usually press the MENU button or wait 30 seconds for the device to auto-save.

  2. Hello, I have a TM928SBK timer, where can I get the complete manual. The sheet that includes the product does not get me out of trouble. It has 16 time programs, how do I disable the programs I’m not using? And how do I change batteries when it runs out? No visible battery slot or battery holder

    Question

How do I disable unused programs and change the battery on the SINOTIMER TM-928SBK?

    Answer

Based on the SINOTIMER TM-920 series documentation (which shares similar logic with the TM-928SBK), here is how to address your concerns:

    • Disabling Unused Programs: To disable or clear a specific program you are not using, enter the programming mode by pressing MENU until 'Prog' flashes, then press OK. Navigate to the program number you wish to disable. To clear the settings for that specific program, press the RES (Reset) button. This should clear the time settings for that program (displaying '--:--') so it does not trigger.
    • Battery Replacement: The TM-920/928 series typically features a built-in lithium battery. According to the manual, this battery is designed to be permanent and is not user-replaceable via a standard slot. It is soldered to the internal circuit board to maintain settings during power outages. If the device no longer holds its memory, the entire unit usually needs replacement, or the internal battery would require technical soldering to replace.
    • Manual Availability: While the TM-920 manual is available on this page, the TM-928SBK is a specific variant. Most SINOTIMER weekly timers follow the same programming logic: MENU to select a mode, OK to enter, and Arrows to adjust values.
