Type of Connection

  • USB Connection: Plug the cable through the USB port to Windows/Mac, it will automatically be recognized. When plugged into Windows/Mac, the SMC-PAD will be charging at the same time;
  • Red light: charging
  • Green light: charging complete

MIDI OUT Connection:

  • Wireless connection: Use a Five-Pin wireless MIDI adapter, connecting to device such as a synthesizer or other device that supports MIDI IN;

Wireless Connection

Windows

  • 1 Download the BT MIDI Connector software from the official website (scan the QR code).

macOS:

  1. Open Audio MIDI Setup.
  2. Naviga1e MIDI Studio.
  3. Click the BT button to connect the device.
    • For more connection details, check the page: Connection Methods.
    • Wireless Adapter: Plug Wireless Adapter B into Windows/Mac, connection was successful when the lights stay on.
    • Note: Wireless Adapter A and B are not within the package, need to buy additionally;
      Low Battery Indicator: When the device has insufficient power, Pad 16 will flash.

  1. Back of device
    • Switch: Turn on/off the device. Power indicator The indicator light illuminates red while charging and turns green when fully charged.
    • USB-C: for cable connection and charging at the same time.
  2. Pads
    • Sixteen RGB back-lit pads with velocity-sensitive & aftertouch;
    • Indude Note, Midi CC, Program Change;
    • Note: You can only change settings inside software(Scan the QR code on the back of the machine to download the software).

Presets select 1-4 :

  • Holding Presets 1 – 4 Pads, then turn on the device, will step into the corresponding presets.
  • By default, Presets 1 16 drum pads are pre-mapped to the Ableton Live drum rack :
  • Presets 2 pre map to flash studio pc drums
  • Presets 3 pre map to Garage Band drums

Control Mapping:

  • Assign various controls to specific pads using the MIDI Suite software (PC/Mac, cable connection) or MIDI Suite app (iOS/Android, wireless connection).
  • Save your custom mappings as presets for quick access.
  • Available controls include
    1. Note Repeat; Trigger notes repeatedly based on Rate and Tempo settings
    2. Rate Adjustment (Increase/Decrease)
    3. Swing Adjustment (Increase/Decrease)
    4. Bank Selection (Next/Previous)
    5. Latch

Software Parameters introduction

The following content is the introduction to the MIDI Suite software for Windows/Mac. Download the software from the website to change the parameters of the SMC-Pad Pocket.Sinco-SK16-Midi-Controller-FIG-4

  • Time: Adjust note repeat rate relative to tempo (1/4 to 1/32t)
  • Tempo: Set the beats per minute (BPM) for note repeat
  • Swing: Apply rhythmic variation to repeated notes (0-100%)
  • Sync: Synchronize with external clock sources like DAW software
  • To enable the sync function, assign the MIDI out port of the device in your DAW’s configuration settings.

Pad Modes:

  • Switch between Note mode (default) and Control mode. In Control mode. pads function as assignable buttons rather than note triggers.Sinco-SK16-Midi-Controller-FIG-6

Control Types:

  • Note: Send standard MIDI note messages
  • CC Toggle: Toggle between two CC values with each press
  • Momentary: Send one CC value on press, another on release
  • Program Change: Send MIDI program change messages
  • Custom: Input and send System Exclusive (SysEx) messages

Channel Assign MIDl channels to individual pads note:

  • Note: Customize the MIDI note for each pad
  • MinVeI: Set the minimum velocity threshold for pad triggering
  • MaxVeI: Set the maximum velocity limit for pad triggering

  • Pad Curve: Adjust the velocity response curve for all pads, when set to 4, it represents full velocity.
  • Pad Bank: Access 7 banks of 1 6 pads each, providing 112 unique MIDI notes.
  • Aftertouch: Enable/d(sabk pressure sensitivity for expressive control.

Connection Method

  • Our device is a class-compliant device, which means when using a USB cable, it won’t need any driver. Software that supports MIDI will automatically recognize the device.
  • Wireless for Windows: Download and install the BT MIDI Connector from the QR code below to use our devices wirelessly (Requires Windows 10 or later).

Wireless for Mac:

  1. Open the Audio MIDI Setup
  2. Open MIDl Studio
  3. click the BT icon
  4. Find thc dcvicc and dick Connect
    • Wireless for iOS/Android: For iOS/Android devices it requires software that supports BLE MIDI. Connect the SMC-Pad Pocket within software like GarageBand, FL Studio Mobile, or Cubasis LE.Sinco-SK16-Midi-Controller-FIG-9
