CM214 is a 1 Input and 2 Outputs DisplayPort 1.4 splitter for expanding your display setup from a single DP input. It features two operating modes, MST extended mode and splitter mirrored mode. In MST mode, you can connect two extended displays from a single DisplayPort, perfect for multi-tasking and increasing productivity. The splitter mode mirrors the DP input to two identical outputs, ideal for presentations or dual viewing.
Compliant with DisplayPort 1.4, the splitter supports a bandwidth of up to 32Gbps, making it ideal for high-performance tasks. It features a built-in 3.5mm audio jack for seamless speaker or headphone connectivity.
System Requirement
- A laptop or desktop PC with DisplayPort output.
- Full function USB-C port with DP alternate mode on PC, a USB-C to DP cable is required to connect the splitter (not included).
- To support MST with 2 extended screens, a native DisplayPort from a discrete graphics card or integrated graphics from an Intel 6th Gen Skylake processor or later is required.
- For 120Hz and higher refresh rates, a DP 1 .4-enabled DisplayPort on the PC and a DSC (Display Stream Compression) enabled monitor are required.
- Windows 1 O or later is required for 2 extended screens support. macOS does not support MST, and only allows 2 DP outputs in mirrored mode.

Operating Modes
Splitter Mode:
In this mode, the two DisplayPort (DP) outputs mirror each other, displaying identical content on both monitors. This setup is ideal for presentations or when dual viewing of the same source is needed.
MST Mode (Multi-Stream Transport):
In this mode, the two DP outputs extend the display, showing different content on each monitor. This provides two extended screens from one DisplayPort source, making it perfect for multitasking and boosting productivity.
About MST
MST(Multi-Stream Transport) is a DisplayPort feature that allows one output to drive multiple monitors by splitting the signal into separate streams. It enables extended displays or different content on each screen, making it ideal for multitasking and productivity setups with multiple monitors. To set up extended screens on Windows, right click Desktop and click “Display -settings” option from menu, or click “Start> Settings> System > Display”. Then select “Extend these displays’!

*The refresh rate can vary on different computers. Screen Refresh rate on each screen also depends on laptop GPU performance and the bandwidth limit of the DP port
Important Notes
- DP output resolution is dependent on the PC’s GPU capability.
- DisplayPort from a docking station or video converter does not support MST extended mode.
- For stable connection, please use high quality DPl .4 cables.
- macOS does not support MST, and only allows 2 DP outputs in mirrored mode.
- Powered by USB, USB-C power cable can be plugged into USB port on computer for 4K@60Hz or lower resolution. Please use the included USB power adapter for 4K@120Hz and higher refresh rates.
