Function of microwaves:
The appliance generates electromagnetic waves that cause the molecules in the food, primarily water molecules, to vibrate strongly. These vibrations generate heat. Foods with a high liquid content therefore heat up more quickly than relatively dry foods. The heating occurs particularly gently directly within the food. The cookware is only heated indirectly by the food.
- Never operate the device without contents. This could damage the device.
- When heating beverages in a microwave, the boiling point may be delayed. The usual vapor bubbles do not appear, even though the boiling point has already been reached. Therefore, special care should be taken when handling a container, for example, when removing it from the microwave.
This boiling delay can be reduced by placing a temperature-resistant glass rod into the liquid during heating.
- Do not attempt to fry food in the microwave; hot oil can damage the microwave and cause burns.
- Raw eggs with shells or whole hard-boiled eggs should not be heated in microwave ovens because they may burst even after microwave heating has finished.
- Caution: Liquids or other foods must not be heated in sealed containers as they can easily burst.
- The contents of baby bottles and jars of infant formula must be shaken or stirred to ensure even temperature distribution.
The temperature must then be checked before consumption to avoid burns! - When heating or cooking food in flammable materials, such as plastic or paper containers, there is a risk of the material catching fire. Likewise, food can dry out and catch fire if the cooking time is too long. Fats or oils can also ignite. Therefore, the appliance must be constantly monitored while switched on.
- Flammable liquids, e.g. concentrated alcohol, must not be heated.
Never use the device to heat clothing, heat pads, sponges, hot water bottles, etc. –
RISK OF IGNITION!
- If smoke is detected, keep the appliance door closed to extinguish any flames. Immediately turn off the appliance and unplug it.
- Use suitable potholders or kitchen gloves when removing food from the cooking compartment. Dishes will also get hot during microwave operation, as the hot food will heat the dish.
- Food thermometers are not suitable for microwave use unless they are specifically recommended for this purpose.
- Do not cook food for too long.
- Do not use the microwave oven to store food or other items.
- The microwave oven is intended exclusively for defrosting, heating, cooking, and grilling food or beverages. No liability is assumed for any damage that may occur if the appliance is operated incorrectly or used for purposes other than those intended.
Setting up the device
- When setting up the microwave, select a sufficiently stable, level and heat-resistant work surface and protect it from high temperatures or moisture.
- Do not place the device above or near other heat-generating devices.
- Do not place the device near easily flammable objects (curtains, newspapers, etc.).
- Adequate air circulation must be ensured. Therefore, no objects may be placed on top of the device. Distances from walls and other objects must be maintained as shown in the diagram below.

- The device’s feet must not be removed.
- The device must not be installed in a cabinet. Mounting the device directly beneath a worktop or cabinet is not permitted.
- The back of the device should face a wall.
- Make sure that the power plug is easily accessible so that it can be easily unplugged in an emergency.
WARNING: RISK OF BURNS!
The surface of the device may become hot during operation.
Interference with radio and television sets:
Operation of the microwave oven may cause interference with radio, television receivers, or similar devices. To avoid this
- Clean the door frame to ensure the door seals well.
- Reorient the receiving antenna of the radio or television.
- Place the microwave in a different, more distant location.
- Connect the microwave to a different circuit than the radio/TV receiver.
Mains connection :
- This appliance is equipped with a grounding cable and a grounding mains plug.
- The device may only be connected to a properly installed, freely accessible, grounded outlet. Grounding reduces the risk of electric shock in the event of a short circuit.
- If the cable and/or plug are damaged, the device must not be used.
- The mains voltage must correspond to the voltage indicated on the device’s rating plate.
- The device complies with the directives that are mandatory for CE marking.
Please note:
- The device is equipped with a short power cord to prevent entanglement or tripping over the cord.
- We do not recommend using this device with extension cords or multiple sockets. If this is unavoidable, always ensure that the cord used is a 3-wire, earthed cord that complies with applicable safety regulations and has the necessary approval marks.
- Long cables can become tripping hazards and dangerous for children, so they should be avoided.
Purpose of use:
The appliance is designed for heating and cooking food and/or beverages. Use for other purposes is prohibited. Any use other than that described in the manual is considered improper and may result in damage to the appliance or injury. Failure to observe these instructions will void any warranty.
Before commissioning
- Remove all packaging material and inserts from the device. The packaging material is recyclable.
- Check the appliance and power cord for damage after unpacking and before each use. The door, including the viewing window and door locks, must not be bent or damaged to prevent microwave radiation from escaping. This also applies to the entire housing and the cooking chamber walls.
If damaged, the appliance must not be used until it has been repaired by qualified personnel.
- not remove the protective film on the inside of the door, the turntable drive, or the gray-brown protective cover near the interior light on the right side of the cooking compartment.
- Never use the device without the rotating ring and glass plate.
- Never attempt to operate the appliance with the door open. Microwave radiation may escape.
- Never block the appliance door with objects and make sure that the door seal is not damaged or contaminated with food residue.
- If the door seal is damaged, the appliance must not be operated.
- Before using the appliance for the first time, heat it up for 10 minutes on the grill setting (without the microwave!). A slight odor may develop during this time. Ensure adequate ventilation.
Basic information about cooking with microwaves
- Carefully distribute the food among the microwave-safe dishes you’re using, ensuring the thickest, largest pieces are on the outside.
- Check the cooking time. First, set the timer to the shortest cooking time indicated and increase the time if necessary. Overcooking food will result in smoke or even a fire hazard.
- Cover food during preparation. Covers prevent spillage and ensure even cooking.
- Before cooking, pierce the skin of potatoes, apples, whole soft fruits, chestnuts and vegetables.
- Turn the food during preparation to speed up cooking. Large pieces such as roasts, etc., need to be turned at least once.
- Rearrange foods such as meatballs in the container during cooking (e.g. place the bottom pieces on top and the inner pieces on the outside) so that all pieces cook evenly.
- When heating food in plastic or paper packaging, it should be monitored as there is a risk of spontaneous combustion.
Remove any metallic parts or metal handles from paper/plastic packaging before placing it in the microwave.
Use suitable dishes:
- Do not place food directly on the glass turntable for cooking; use suitable cookware. The cookware must not extend beyond the turntable.
- Microwaves are reflected off metal surfaces and therefore cannot reach the food . Sparks can also occur if there is metal in the cooking chamber , which could damage the appliance.Cutlery or metal containers must therefore not be used in the microwave. Some packaging contains, for example, aluminum foil or wires under a layer of paper and is therefore also unsuitable. Crockery must not have any metal decorations, such as gold rims or metallic paints. Lead crystal is also unsuitable. There must be no closed cavities in the crockery, for example in the handles. Porous crockery may absorb water during washing and is therefore unsuitable. Crockery made of the plastic melamine absorbs energy and is unsuitable.
