Mains connection:
- The device may only be connected to a properly installed, freely accessible protective contact socket.
- The mains voltage must correspond to the voltage indicated on the device’s rating plate: 220- 240 V ~ 50-60 Hz.
- The device complies with the directives that are binding for CE marking.
Before first use:
- Check the device and power cord for any damage. If the device is damaged, do not operate it.
- Turn the browning control to level 6 and operate the appliance several times in a row without any toast. Refer to the “Operation” section below. Allow the appliance to cool down between each use. A slight odor and smoke may be emitted. This is normal and will decrease over time.
Ensure adequate ventilation.
Operation
General:
- The operating lever only engages when the device is connected to the power supply.
- The inserted slices of toast are automatically centered when lowered to ensure even browning.
- Do not use slices of toast that are too large (max. 12 x 12 cm) and/or too thick (max. 27 mm).
These can easily jam. If this happens, unplug the appliance, let it cool down, and remove the slice of toast using a blunt object, such as a wooden skewer. Be careful not to touch the heating elements. - Never cover the roasting slots, especially not during operation!
- Do not insert fingers or other objects (e.g., knives, forks, spoons) into the toasting slots. RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
CAUTION: RISK OF BURNS!
Do not reach into the toasting slots while the appliance is in operation or until the appliance has completely cooled down and is disconnected from the power supply.
Toast bread:
- Plug the power plug into the socket.
- Set the desired browning level:
= Warm-up position
1 = low browning level
6 = high degree of browning - Place one slice of toast into each slot and press the control lever all the way down. The trigger will light up and the appliance will begin heating.
- As soon as the desired degree of browning has been reached, the device switches off automatically and the slices of bread are lifted upwards.
- If you want to interrupt the toasting process before it automatically ends, press the release button.
- If you toast several times in a row, we recommend letting the appliance cool down in between (approx. 1 minute) to prevent overheating.
Timetable:
The following table shows the toasting time in minutes and seconds for each selected browning level. This applies to the first toasting cycle; for several consecutive toasting cycles, the toasting time will be adjusted, as the appliance is already preheated:

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 |
0:30 | 1:20 | 1:50 | 2:20 | 2:50 | 3:20 | 3:50 |
Defrost function :
To toast frozen bread, proceed as described under “Toasting Bread,” but also press the Defrost button. The button’s backlight will turn on.
The toasting time is automatically adjusted to achieve the set browning level for the frozen bread.
Warm-up function :
You can briefly reheat bread that has already been toasted but has cooled down.
To do this, set the browning control to position . The bread will warm up briefly.
Baking function :
The device has an integrated bun attachment for baking pastries or rolls.
- Turn the bun warmer control 90° to the right to raise the metal brackets.
- Place pastries or rolls on the folded-up metal brackets.
- Select a medium browning level and press the control lever down.
- After the appliance has switched off, turn the pastry/roll over and switch it on again.
- When you are no longer using the bun attachment, fold it back down by turning the control 90° to the left.
Important NOTE:
The pastries/rolls must not be placed directly on the toasting slots.

- If you do not use the device for an extended period of time, store it clean and dry in the box in a dry, dust-free place out of reach of children.
Crumb tray:
When making toast, crumbs fall through the toasting slots and are collected in the crumb tray in the base of the appliance. Remove the crumbs from time to time. To do so, pull the crumb tray out from the side and reinsert it clean. The appliance must not be operated without the crumb tray.
Cable winding:

Warranty / Guarantee
In addition to the statutory warranty, we grant a 24-month warranty on this device, calculated from the date of issue of the invoice or delivery bill. Within this warranty period, all manufacturing and/or material defects will be repaired and/or replaced free of charge, or (at our discretion) exchanged for an item of equal value and in perfect condition, on presentation of the invoice or delivery bill. The prerequisite for such a guarantee is that the appliance has been handled and maintained properly.
Claims beyond our warranty services are excluded. In justified cases, the guarantee only covers the repair of the appliance. Further claims and liability for any consequential damage are excluded. No guarantee can be given for parts that are subject to natural wear and tear or for damage caused by impact, incorrect operation, exposure to moisture or other external influences or by intervention by unauthorized third parties. In the event of a warranty claim, the appliance must be returned to your specialist dealer together with the invoice or delivery bill.
Warranty:
The warranty is expressly stipulated by law and only applies to defects that existed at the time the goods were handed over. The claim is always directed against the contractual partner (dealer), who must remedy the defect free of charge (for the consumer) or arrange for it to be remedied.
Guarantee:
The guarantee is a voluntary, contractual promise by the manufacturer (general importer) for which there are no minimum requirements in terms of content or form. However, many warranties only cover part of the costs incurred in remedying defects, but they usually apply to all defects that occur within a certain period.
