Product Usage Instructions:

Safety Instructions:

  • Before using the appliance, carefully read the safety instructions provided in the manual and keep them for future reference.
  • Ensure that children under 8 years of age are kept away from the device and its power cable.
  • Do not allow children to play with the appliance, and ensure that cleaning and maintenance are done by individuals older than 8 years under supervision.
  • Avoid contact with hot surfaces and ensure the power cord is not crushed, kinked, or trapped.

Operation:

Thermostat Control:

  • MIN: Thermostat is off.
  • WARM: Used for keeping food warm.
  • HOT: When the set temperature is reached, the thermostat turns off. It will turn on again if the temperature drops below the set level.

Cleaning and Maintenance:
Always allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning. Never immerse the device or its cable in water.

Product Care:
Clean the device thoroughly after each use to maintain its performance and longevity.

Read the operating instructions carefully before using the appliance and keep them in a safe place for future reference.

Safety instructions 

  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Children must not play with the device.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be carried out by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.
  • Children under 8 years of age must be kept away from the device and the connecting cable.
  • Before using the device, check the entire device, including the power cable with plug and any accessories, for defects that could affect the device’s functionality. If the device has fallen to the floor, for example, there may be damage that is not visible from the outside. In this case, do not use the device.
  • Regularly check the plug and connection cable for wear or damage. If the connection cable or other parts are damaged, the device must not be used. Contact an authorized specialist workshop. Improper  repairs can lead to significant risks for the user and also invalidate the guarantee.
  • Do not use the appliance if the power cord or plug is damaged.
  • If the device is not working properly or if it has been dropped or otherwise damaged. In this case, contact a specialist workshop.
  • Remove all packaging material from the device. The packaging material is recyclable.
  • Children must not play with plastic bags – risk of suffocation!
  • Therefore, do not leave any packaging material (cardboard, polystyrene, etc.) within reach of children!
  • Make sure that the power cable does not hang over the work surface and avoid any contact with hot surfaces.
  • The power cord must not be crushed, kinked or trapped.
  • Do not connect the device to a multiple socket.
  • Caution! During operation, the temperature of touchable surfaces can be very high. Danger of burns! Therefore, only touch the device by the handle and use cooking gloves or potholders if necessary.
  • Be aware that very hot steam may escape during use.
  • Coal or similar fuels must not be used for this appliance.
  • Place the device on a stable, level, heat-resistant, splash-proof, dry, non-slip surface.
  • Do not place the device near sinks, wash basins, bathtubs, swimming pools, etc. to avoid splashing water. Also, make sure that the surface is not damp.
  • Keep the device away from other heat sources (stovetops, open fire, direct sunlight, etc.).
  • Do not use the device near flammable/explosive liquids or materials (e.g. curtains, spray cans, etc.).
  • Maintain a safety distance of at least 30 cm from walls or kitchen cabinets.
  • Do not cover the device, especially the ventilation slots.
  • Never place clothes or similar items over the device (risk of fire!).
  • Do not place any containers filled with water or other liquids on the device.
  • Do not place any burning candles on the device.
  • Turn off the device and unplug the power cord if
    • The device is not in use.
    • A malfunction occurs during operation.
    • You want to clean the device.
  • Never pull the power plug out of the socket by the connecting cable; always hold the power plug.
  • Do not pull on the power cord to move the device. This could cause invisible damage.
  • Do not transport the device when it is hot – always let it cool down first!
  • If the device is operated incorrectly or used for purposes other than those intended, no liability can be accepted for any damage that may occur.
  • Always allow the device to cool down before cleaning.
  • Danger of electric shock! Never immerse the device, cable or plug in water or other liquids. To protect against electrical accidents, the device, cable or plug must not come into contact with water or other  liquids.
  • Do not touch the device with wet hands.
  • When cleaning, make sure that no water gets into the interior of the device.
  • The device must never be operated unattended.
  • The device may only be used indoors; do not place it outdoors.  The device is not intended to be operated with an external timer or a separate remote control system.
  • Do not operate the appliance near or below wall cabinets, curtains or other flammable materials.
  • The device must not be installed in a cabinet.

Before use 

Intended Use: 

  • The device is not intended for commercial use but exclusively for use in the home, in coffee kitchens in offices or workshops as well as in apartment buildings, bed and breakfasts, motels or bed & breakfast establishments, etc.
  • The appliance is intended exclusively for preparing, grilling and roasting suitable foods.
  • Only use the multi-roaster with original accessories as described in these instructions.
  • Use the device only for the functions described in this manual.
  • Any use other than that described in the instructions is considered improper and may result in serious injury and damage to the device.
  • DANGER:
    Any damage caused by improper use resulting from failure to follow these operating instructions or the safety instructions will void the warranty.

Unpacking the device: 

  • Remove all packaging materials and check the device for any damage. If there is any damage, the device must not be used.
  • Packaging materials such as plastic bags or polystyrene parts are dangerous for children. Therefore, keep these parts away from children. HAZARD OF SUFFERING!
  • Many packaging materials are recycled – so make sure they are disposed of correctly, as you are making an important contribution to protecting the environment.

Before first use: 

  • Clean all parts as described under “Cleaning and Care” before using the device for the first time.
  • Wipe the case with a damp cloth and dry it thoroughly.
  • Plug the power cord into a power outlet.
  • Then heat the device without food for around 10 minutes at maximum temperature (setting “HOT”). This causes any protective grease that may be present during production to evaporate. A slight smell and smoke will develop, but this is harmless and only occurs the first time you use it. Make sure the room is adequately ventilated.
  • The indicator lights light up and go out again when the device has heated up.
  • After 10 minutes, turn the thermostat control to “MIN”, unplug the power cord and let the device cool down.
  • Now the parts that come into contact with food should be wiped again with a possibly slightly damp cloth.

Important NOTE:
We recommend connecting the device to its own socket and avoiding connecting other consumers to the same line (fuse).

Mains connection:

  • This appliance is equipped with a grounding cord and a grounding mains plug.
  • The device may only be connected to a correctly installed, earthed socket (220-240 V ~ 50 Hz). Earthing reduces the risk of electric shock in the event of a short circuit.
  • If the power cable and/or plug are damaged, the device must not be operated.
  • The mains voltage must correspond to the voltage indicated on the type plate of the device.  The device complies with the directives that are mandatory for the CE marking.

Service

Important operating instructions: 

WARNING: 

  • During operation, touchable surfaces of the device become hot, particularly in the area of the lid.
  • Never touch the hot surface and wait until the device has cooled down completely before transporting it.
  • Only touch the heat-insulated handles and use kitchen gloves or potholders.
  • Extreme caution should be exercised when using the appliance while children are nearby.
  • Never leave the device unattended when in operation or when it is hot.
  • The device must never be covered by objects other than the lid when in use.
  • The surface where the device is located must be dry, non-slip and level. Make sure there is a safety distance of 50 cm from walls, boxes and other surfaces: risk of fire!
  • The device may be used outdoors in a dry and protected location.
  • Never leave cooking utensils (turner, dough scraper, …) in/on the hot roasting pan/turning cast iron plate.
  • Charcoal or similar fuels must not be used for this appliance

Thermostat controller:
The temperature can be set using the thermostat control. The control lamp lights up while heating up.

Set the desired power:

  • MIN: Thermostat is off;
  • WARM: For keeping food warm;
  • HOT: For roasting, grilling, frying, baking;
  • Once the set temperature has been reached, the thermostat switches off and the indicator lights go out. As soon as the set temperature is not reached, the thermostat switches back on and the indicator light lights up again.

General information about roasting/grilling:

  • Set up the device as described previously.
  • Place the required insert on the device: reversible cast iron plate or chestnut attachment.
  • Put the lid on.
  • Connect the power plug to a household socket.
  • Turn the thermostat control to the “HOT” position to heat up the device for approx. 5 – 10 minutes. The control lamp lights up.
  • As soon as the device has heated up (indicator light goes out), the device is ready for use.
  • Remove the lid and place food on/in as described below.
  • When you finish the roasting/grilling process, turn the thermostat control to the “MIN” position and unplug the appliance.
  • To avoid damaging the non-stick coating of the roasting pan and grill plate, do not use any sharp-edged cooking utensils (knives, forks, metal scrapers). Utensils made of wood or heat-resistant plastic are recommended

Roasting pan/roasting chestnuts:

  • Place the chestnuts, which have been cut into the curved side using the chestnut tongs provided, into the roasting pan (maximum 500 g).
  • Put the lid back on the roasting pan.
  • Let them fry with the lid closed for about 15-20 minutes.
  • Turn the chestnuts from time to time using the spatula provided.

Hints:

  • Do not use oil or other cooking fat!
  • Chestnuts are ready to be roasted when the shells have cracked open enough to be easily removed.
  • It is recommended to let the chestnuts cook in an insulated container.

Roast pan / foil potatoes:

  • Place the washed, dried potatoes wrapped in aluminum foil into the roasting pan.
  • Place the lid back on the roasting pan.
  • Let them fry with the lid closed for about 20-30 minutes.

Notes: Do not use oil or other cooking fat!

Reversible cast iron plate/grilling:
The grooved side of the reversible cast iron plate is suitable for grilling thin meat, sausages, fish, vegetables, …

  • Grease the reversible cast iron plate (grooved side) with a little cooking oil or fat.
  • Place the food to be grilled on the plate.
  • Replace the lid.
  • Turn the food if necessary.
  • Depending on the type of food, grill it until it is cooked (approx. 15 – 25 minutes).

Turning cast iron plate/baking:
The smooth side of the reversible cast iron plate is suitable for baking pancakes, omelettes, crêpes, tortillas, French toast…

  • Prepare the desired dough.
  • Put the desired amount of dough in the middle of the smooth plate and spread the dough evenly with the dough spatula provided. Do not apply any pressure. If you dip the dough spatula briefly in cold water beforehand, the dough will spread better.
  • Turn the baked goods using the turner provided.
  • Depending on the type, baking takes about 5 – 10 minutes.

Reversible cast iron plate / Keeping food warm:
This device can also be used as a hotplate, use the reversible cast iron plate:

  • Set the thermostat control to the “WARM” position.
  • Place the food you want to keep warm on the plate.
  • Close the lid.

Cleaning and care 

  • To ensure a long service life of your device, it is necessary to keep it clean and in good condition. Contamination can impair proper functioning and lead to dangerous situations.
  • The base of the device must not be immersed in water or other liquids. No water must penetrate the ventilation openings. Danger of electric shock!

Before each cleaning

  • Turn the thermostat control to position “MIN”
  • Unplug the power cord
  • and allow the device to cool down sufficiently (approx. 30 min.)

Please also note the “Safety Instructions” at the beginning of the manual.

  • Remove the cooled parts of the device.
  • Clean the non-stick roasting pan/plates in warm water, possibly with a mild detergent.
  • If food residue is very stubborn, we recommend soaking the roasting pan/plate briefly in lukewarm dishwater before cleaning.
  • Carefully remove all food residue after each use.
  • To avoid damaging the surfaces or the non-stick coating, do not use any harsh or corrosive abrasive cleaners, oven cleaners or metal scrapers to clean the appliance and its parts.
  • We advise against cleaning the removable parts in the dishwasher to avoid damaging the non-stick coating.
  • Wipe the housing of the device base with a well-wrung, damp cloth and dry all parts thoroughly.
  • Make sure that all parts are thoroughly dried before placing them back on the base.
  • If you do not use the device for a long period of time, pack it after cleaning and store it in a dry, clean place, out of the reach of children.

Warranty / Guarantee 

  • In addition to the statutory warranty, we grant a 24-month warranty on this device, calculated from the date of issue of the invoice or delivery bill. Within this warranty period, all manufacturing and/or material defects will be repaired and/or replaced free of charge, or (at our discretion) exchanged for an item of equal value and in perfect condition, on presentation of the invoice or delivery bill.
  • The prerequisite for such a guarantee is that the appliance has been handled and maintained properly. Claims beyond our warranty services are excluded. In justified cases, the guarantee only covers the repair of the appliance. Further claims and liability for any consequential damage are excluded.
  • No guarantee can be given for parts that are subject to natural wear and tear or for damage caused by impact, incorrect operation, exposure to moisture or other external influences or by intervention by unauthorized third parties. In the event of a warranty claim, the appliance must be returned to your specialist  dealer together with the invoice or delivery bill.
