Thank you for purchasing the iDefender Max from SilentPower.
The iDefender Max is a USB-C Ground Loop Breaker and USB Power Injector.
The iDefender Max eliminates all distracting hum and noise in your Computer Audio System, allowing you to experience your Hi-Fi as silently and clearly as intended, with enhanced resolution and dynamics. Hum and noise often result from Earth/Ground loops from multiple devices in your system. The iDefender Max intelligently detects and disrupts noisy ground loops by disconnecting the PC’s earth, eliminating audible ground-loop hum, and lowering the system’s noise floor for enhanced audio.
iDefender Max features an additional USB-C port on the side for an external power supply, which, when used, replaces the PC’s power with ‘clean’ external power. For optimal performance, consider using a high-quality, lownoise power adapter like SilentPower’s iPower X.
Recommended for audiophiles and home studio professionals, the iDefender Max is an essential upgrade for all USB DACs.

4. External USB-C power supply port
For USB-powered DACs, we recommend using our iPower supply connected to the USB-C power supply port to replaces the PC’s power with ‘clean’ external power. For optimal performance, consider using a high-quality, low-noise 5V power adapter like SilentPower’s iPower X or iPower Elite.
