Product Usage Instructions
Installation:
- Ensure all warnings and instructions are read thoroughly before installation.

- Installation, service, and maintenance of luminaires must be performed by a qualified professional and by all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and electrical codes. This professional should be familiar with the construction and operation of this product and any hazards involved. If not qualified, do not attempt installation, service, or maintenance.

CAUTION
RISK OF PRODUCT DAMAGE
- Never connect luminaires and/or components under load with the supply voltage turned on.
- Do not mount or support these luminaires in a manner that can cut the outer jacket or damage wire insulation.
- Do not restrict fixture ventilation. Allow for some volume of airspace around the luminaire. Avoid covering the luminaire with insulation, foam, or other material that will prevent convection or conduction cooling.
- Do not exceed luminaire maximum ambient temperature.
- Do not modify the luminaire.
- Only use the luminaire in its intended application and location.
- LED products are polarity sensitive. Ensure proper polarity before installation.
- Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) can damage an LED. Personal grounding equipment must be worn during all installation and servicing of the luminaire.
- Do not touch individual electrical components, as this can cause ESD, shorten LED life, or impact LED performance.
Some components inside the luminaire may not be serviceable. In the unlikely event, your luminaire may require service, stop using it immediately and contact the Customer Care Call Center at 800‐555‐0050. - Always read the luminaire’s complete installation instructions before installation for any additional luminaire-specific warnings.
- In the case of HID or Fluorescent luminaires, regular re‐lamping is required to keep the luminaire operating within safe limits.
- Do not install damaged products. Handling and installing damaged products can potentially increase the risks mentioned. In case of damage and/or missing parts upon arrival of the luminaire, please contact the Customer Care Call Center at 800‐555‐0050.
- These instructions do not purport to cover all details or variations in equipment nor to provide every possible contingency to meet in connection with installation, operation, or maintenance. Luminaire Maintenance
- Regular luminaire maintenance programs are recommended.
- It is recommended to clean the outside of the luminaire and the refractor/lens.
- Frequency of cleaning will depend on ambient dirt level and minimum light output, which is acceptable to the user.
- If clean water is not sufficient for cleaning, use a neutral, synthetic, non‐scratching, and non‐abrasive cleaning substance.
- Never use alkaline and/or acidic cleaning substances.
- Make sure that the cleaning substance is carefully removed by rinsing with lots of clean water.
- Signify recommends using a cleaning solution that has a PH between 5 and 8.

Mounting Instructions
Wiring diagram
- Connect the white wire to neutral.
- If using 120V, connect the black wire to the hot lead. If using 277V, connect the orange wire to the hot lead.
- Cap the unused lead.
Wall Mounting
- Open the front cover with a screwdriver (see Fig. 1).
- Knock out center and appropriate mounting screw holes on the back plate, paste gasket on back of back plate.
- Feed building power supply wires through the center hole, fix back plate to waterproof type junction box by screws.
- Make correct electrical connections inside of fixture according wiring diagram.
- Push excess wires into the junction box.
- Attach the battery connector to the PC board.
- Snap the chevron to the EXIT panel if required, and restore the NT panel on the T.
Side /Ceiling Mounting(see Fig 3/4)
- Attach crossbar to junction box, set the crossbar so that the longer blade is touching the waterproof-type junction box.
- Open the front cover with a screwdriver.
- If the double face is desired, replace the ace plate with the additional face plate provided.
- Knock out the mounting hole on the top or side of the unit, assemble the canopy on the unit (see Fig 5).
- Route the proper wires through the mounting hole out of the housing.
- Make electrical connections inside the J-Box according to the wiring diagram.
- Fasten crossbar on J-box by screws provided.
- Paste the gasket on the canopy, then fasten the canopy to the crossbar and against the wall.
- The button to the exit panel is required.
- Attach the battery connector to the PC board nd the panel in the nut. the
Battery Replacement Instructions
Caution:
Make sure the new battery corresponds with the model number described for this device.
- Open the front cover with a screwdriver (see Fig. 1).
- Disconnect the battery terminal from the PC board and remove the battery (see Fig. 6).
- Assemble the new battery into the unit.
- Connect the battery terminal to the PC board (see Fig. 7).
- Restore the front cover on the unit.
SELF-DIAGNOSTICS/ SELF-TEST OPTION
- When AC power is supplied to the fixture, the unit will automatically initiate a self-test and a self-diagnostic test as follows:
- Verifies battery disconnection, charger board failure every 5 seconds.
- 1 minute self-testing every month.
- 90 minutes of self-testing every 12 months after installation.
- Dual color LED lamp indicator shows the following status:
- Green color On / Ready blinking: Testing
- Red color (Service Alert)
- Service Alert LED Code (Red color LED lamp indicator)
NOTICE
After solving the fault of emergency equipment, please press test button for 2 seconds without releasing to reset. LED indicator will show green.
- Self-testing/ self-diagnostic also has a manual test function, press the test button as follows:
- Press the test button once for 30 30-second discharge test
- Press the test button twice within 2 seconds, 3 3-minute discharge test
- Pressthe test button 3 times within 2 seconds, 30 minutes discharge test
- Pressthe test button 4 times within 2 seconds, 90 minutes discharge test
