Product Usage Instructions
Step 1: Firmware Update
Press the Firmware Update button to ensure the ShotTracker has the latest firmware for optimal performance.
Step 2: Alignment
Place the unit at the desired position on the barrel. Tighten the middle screw on the mount using the provided screw driver or T-wrench. Maintain vertical alignment with the ShotTracker’s camera directly below the barrel.
Step 3: Power On/Off
If the ShotTracker does not boot up and continues blinking red, press and hold the On/Off button for approximately 10 seconds until you see a fast blinking red LED. Release the button to turn off the unit.
Step 4: Shot Results
Complete a profile with valid boresight to start a new session. Access shot information specific to each game type (skeet, trap, sporting clays, helice, special) by pressing on the bottom right of the Results screen.

Getting Started
Charge Batteries – Connect battery charger to USB power source. Place the batteries in the charger. Once all four red LED are solid ON, the battery is charged. If all four red LEDS blink in unison the charging process did not start. If this happens pull the battery out of the charger and reinsert.
Mounting the ShotTracker
Step 1 – Loosen Screws
Remove the ShotTracker from the storage case. Use the 9/64” Allen driver to loosen the three mounting screws to open the clamp on the multi-guage barrel mount.
Step 2 – Place ShotTracker on Shotgun
Insure the protective rubber pads are properly attached to the barrel mount and slide the mount onto your shotgun’s barrel. Place the ShotTracker as far back on the barrel as you like. Just be sure to leave enough space to activate the On/Off button.
Step 3 – Alignment
Once the unit is placed at the desired position on the barrel, snug up the middle screw on the mount using the screw driver / T-wrench. Be careful to maintain a vertical alignment where the ShotTracker’s
camera is directly below the barrel.
Step 4 – Securely Tighten
When the unit is properly aligned, tighten all three mounting screws. Do Not Over Tighten – Max Torque 15 in-lbs.
Initial Set Up
- ClayTracker Pro App – go to your phone’s app store and download the ClayTracker Pro app
- Next, install fully charged batteries into the ShotTracker (button side up) and press the ON/OFF button. After ten seconds (11 red flashes) the LED will begin to flash magenta.
- On your smart phone go to the WiFi section in Settings. Look for a WiFi network with a label that starts with “ST_ “ and matches the SSID listed inside the ShotTracker battery door.
- Select that WiFi Network and enter the Passcode that is located on the inside of the battery door.
- Once connected, start the ClayTracker Pro app.
- When prompted allow the app to find and connect to devices on the local netowrk and answer “Yes” to all of the questions. The app will then “sync” to the ShotTracker.
- From the Maim Menu on the app, select the ShotTracker button to make sure you seee “Connected” at the top of the page. Press the Firmware Update button to verify that you have the latest ShotTracker firmware.
ShotTracker LED
- Slow Blinking Red: Booting up
- Red Flash: Low Battery (every 5 sec.)
- Green: Ready for Shot
- Blinking Green: Processing Shot
- Blue Flash: Connected to ClayTracker Pro app
- Solid Purple: IDLE mode – power saving
- Flashing Purple: ShotTracker is Reset to Factory Settings. Complete a Profile with a valid Boresight to start a new session.
If the ShotTracker does not boot up (continues Blinking Red), press and hold the On/Off button for ~10
seconds until you get a fast Blinking Red LED then release the On/Off button to turn the unit off.
Setting Up a Profile
- Connect to the ShotTracker. From ClayTracker Pro app’s Main page select Profiles and then press Add Profile
- Enter the required information including your shotgun type.
- Select the choke type and ammo details. (do this twice for O/U and SxS)
- Next select clay type – default is Standard
- If you know the POI of your shot gun, enter that information next, Otherwise leave the default 50/50 at 40 yards setting
- Press Save when done.
Performing a Boresight
- Take the clay auto-boresight image included in your kit and place it on a vertical surface 15-25 yards away.
- Press the Set Boresight button at the bottom of the Profile
- Stabilize your shotgun on a gun rack or by leaning against a pole. While aiming at the clay image, press the Begin Auto Boresight button at the bottom of the page and wait for the Beep. It is very critical to keep your shotgun very still and stable during the last two seconds of the boresighting process while the gyros are calibrated.
- If the Auto Boresight process is successful, after the “beep” you will see a photo with a red reticle placed on top of the clay image along with the distance to the clay image in red. If the distance is correct (+/- a yard), press the Verified button.
- If the Auto Boresight process cannot complete after a couple of tries, use the Manual Boresgight process.
Final Step
- Once you have a competed Profile along with a valid Boresight, press the Let’s Shoot buttom from the Main page.
- Press Start New Session and eneter a description of where you are shooting. Then select your game (skeet, trap ….) along with the Profile you will be using.
- Press Continue and you shold see the “Waiting for First Shot” banner.
The LED will turn solid green and the ShotTracker is now ready to go.
Supported Clay Sports
ShotTracker supports skeet, trap, sporting clays, helice and special. The Shot Results screen for each of these game types is designed to provide the important shot information for that game. For a detailed list of all shot data for your shot , press on the bottom right of the Results screen.
