Safety information
For safe and proper use, read this guide and any accompanying documents. Keep them for future reference.
To avoid possible harm or property damage:
- Remove and immediately recycle or dispose of exhausted batteries according to your local regulations.
- Use only a 3 V CR2477 battery.
- Ensure the batteries are installed with the correct polarity.
- Use indoors only.
- Keep the Device away from moisture, heat sources, open flames, and direct sunlight.
- Do not attempt to repair the Device yourself.

Shelly BLU Motion ZB is a motion sensor with an integrated light level measurement. It supports Zigbee and Bluetooth communication and can trigger automations such as lights, scenes, or notifications. Motion sensitivity and light level thresholds are configurable. The Device is powered by a CR2477 battery.
Mounting
ⓘ NOTE
- Choose a location with a clear view of the area. Keep away from moisture, heat sources, open flames, and direct sunlight.
- Mount the Device only on a clean, dry, and smooth surface to ensure proper adhesion.
- Choose a suitable mounting location.
- Attach the Device using the adhesive pad.
Using the Device
ⓘ NOTE
- The Device comes ready to use with the battery installed. If the LED does not turn on after removing the battery insulating tab, replace the battery. See the Replacing the battery section for details.
- The Device works with any home automation platform that supports the BTHome protocol. For details, visit http://bthome.io.
Adding to Shelly cloud
The Device can be set up, controlled, and monitored via the Shelly cloud home automation service. You can access the service through the Shelly Smart Control app or a web browser at https://control.shelly.cloud.
ⓘ NOTE
- To use the Device with the Shelly Smart Control app, you need at least one permanently powered Shelly Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (Gen2 or newer) device, which acts as a Bluetooth gateway.
- The Device can be configured only via the Shelly Smart Control app.
Before starting, make sure you have:
- An active Shelly Gen2 or newer Device in your Shelly Smart Control account.
- Active Bluetooth connectivity on your mobile device.
- Press the button 4 times. The LED flashes once every two seconds, indicating Bluetooth pairing mode for 1 minute.
- Start the Shelly Smart Control application, then select
(Add device) >
(Add via Bluetooth). - Follow the instructions in the app to complete the setup.

Adding to Zigbee
- Press the button 5 times. The LED flashes purple twice every 2 seconds, indicating Zigbee inclusion mode for 1 minute.
- Follow your Zigbee coordinator’s instructions to complete the setup.

Factory reset
ⓘ NOTE
The factory reset erases all pairing keys and restores the Device to its default settings.
You can reset the Device in one of the following ways:
- Remove and reinsert the battery, then within 30 seconds, press and hold the button for at least 30 seconds.
- In the Shelly Smart Control app, go to Settings > Factory reset.
Replacing the battery
⚠ WARNING!
- Chemical Burn Hazard. Keep batteries away from children.
- This product contains a lithium button/coin cell battery. If a new or used lithium/button /coin cell battery is swallowed or enters the body, it can cause severe internal burns and can lead to death in as little as 2 hours.
Always completely secure the battery compartment. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product, remove the batteries, and keep it away from children.- If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.
⚠ CAUTION!
Do not force discharge, recharge, disassemble, heat above the manufacturer’s specified temperature rating, or incinerate! Doing so may result in injury due to venting, leakage, or explosion, resulting in chemical burns.
- Open the Device using a flat-blade screwdriver as shown in fig. II.
- Remove the depleted battery.
- Insert a new CR2477 battery with the positive pole (+) facing up.
- Slide the battery cover on the back of the Device until it clicks into place.

Disposal and recycling
Do not dispose of the product in household waste. Recycle the product to prevent environmental and health damage and to promote resource conservation. Dispose of the product at an appropriate waste collection point at your responsibility.
Some electronic products may store personal data. The user is responsible for deleting this data before disposing of the Device. For deletion, reset the Device to its factory settings.
Disposal of batteries
Do not dispose of batteries in household trash or incinerate them. Batteries can emit hazardous compounds or cause fire if not disposed of properly.
